Double, double, toil and trouble

William Shakespeare, in Macbeth, has three witches in a dark cave with a boiling cauldron. Thunder is rolling and they are stirring up a mess of trouble. The world is in trouble with God. Trouble has been unleashed upon the world in intensity and it will not get better. There may be short times of peace, but sudden destruction will come, it is in the Bible.

Carmen is a singer, songwriter, who has an interesting video on You Tube called, “The Witches Invitation”. I wanted to put it in here, but cannot figure out how to do that. 😦 Bummer! I think you might like it, I do.

God is God. He says He is God and there is no other. He declares Himself to be the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He declared that Abraham was His friend. He promised Abraham that his seed would be as many as the stars in the sky and the sand of the sea. God is a giver.

A long time later, and many generations later, God sent His messenger, His representative, His Son, into the earth to be the Lamb of God, the sacrifice for the sin of the world. Abraham’s seed was looking for a conquering king. They failed to see the plan of God. They missed it.

God turned to Gentiles; there are only Jews and Gentiles, believers or non-believers. God wanted a family, He wanted to be “Our Father in Heaven”, Jesus said so. He sent Saul, who was renamed Paul, a Jew and a Pharisee, to tell them they could be qualified to enter the family through faith in Yeshua, Jesus. Many came, some did not.

Today it is no different. The Message has gone out into the earth for 2014 years, so far, some believe and some do not. Do you?

Has God changed? No, He says, “I am the same yesterday, today and forever.” Is He still the Great I AM? Yes!

Why does it seem so dark in the world? Why is there so much disregard for God, so much disrespect? Recently, a movie with the title: “God’s not Dead!” was released. It was well received, especially in the Christian community. God is very much alive, the Family knows it, but those outside the Family don’t know Him and many refuse to believe. They dismiss Him because they love their sin, they love the darkness they live in.

Wherever there is a vacuum, a void, something will fill it. Man was created by God and for God; mankind needs to be filled with and worship something, if he does not fill that void with God he will try to fill it with something. That thing then becomes his god.

Bob Jones, believed by many to be a prophet, recorded an NDE he had. He was about to enter the New Jerusalem and as he waited in line to get up to Jesus, to his left he saw what appeared to be like the rollers that take groceries from inside the grocery store to the outside for pick up. On this system were people who were wrapped in that which they worshiped on earth. When they saw Jesus they said, “So, it was true.” They began to curse Him. They knew the truth at that moment and they blamed Him and blasphemed His name as they moved forward and fell into Hell.

There are people that have been taken to Hell, while there they have seen people in agony and torment crying out for mercy, asking to be saved, but the message always is: “It is too late, you made your decision.” Today is the day of salvation!

John Paul Jackson has a strong prophetic ministry. He has been told that to avoid or lessen the catastrophes and disasters he saw, God’s people will have to cry out to God in sustained intercession. Mostly, what Jackson has seen has been regarding America. His ministry is called, “Streams Ministry”. Check it out on the internet.

To whet your appetite a bit, here are some of the things Jackson saw. The Mideast in turmoil and change, the Israel and Iran conflict will escalate, antisemitism will rise, Jerusalem will be a “cup of trembling”, United States currency will change, Russia will arise and changes will come with a shaking at the top and a ruthless man will come forth, Russia will blackmail countries over oil, Nature will be affected in major ways, there will be violence in the streets of America, America’s military will be severely reduced, China plans to be the lead power in the world, GMO crops will be attacked by a blight that will spread like wildfire, the result will be famine. There are many warnings regarding natural disasters.

Many prophetic voices are speaking the same or similar things that John Paul Jackson has said. The Bible says, “I do nothing except I reveal it to my servants the prophets.” We would do well to pay attention to these men and women that God has raised up at this time. The internet yields a treasure trove of voices. Of course, one must discern for there are false as well as true voices. There is a source called, “The Prophecy Club” if you are interested in pursuing this further.

I listen to Rick Joyner, John Paul Jackson, Bobby Connor and Larry Randolph primarily, but there are other credible witnesses. Bob Jones was perhaps the most accurate new testament prophet in current time. He has moved home, but left a powerful legacy behind, there are numerous videos of things that he shared.

God uses signs in the Heavens to speak to Israel and anyone else who is listening. Mary Bostrom teaches on this subject with great understanding. You can access her blog at mbostrom2.com. At this time, there are many who have seen the importance of spreading the word that the heavens are a billboard, of sorts, that God uses to speak to mankind. John Hagee and Mark Biltz are a couple more who are worth listening to on this subject.

Other timely voices are Joel Rosenberg, Perry Stone, Jan Markell, and Cindy Jacobs. Using the internet wisely is bending your ear to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church through the voices He has raised up for such a time as this.

There are some that God is using to help the body of Christ to come to maturity such as Joyce Meyers, Andrew Wommack, Andy Stanley, Mark Batterson, Bill Jonhson, and many others.

Beyond all of these we have the witnesses of classic authors such as Hannah Whitall Smith, Andrew Murray, Kenneth E. Hagin, A.W.Tozer, John Bunyan, and Hannah Hurnard to name just a few.

There are several different streams in Christianity and each stream has its favorite teachers and witnesses. God has not left Himself without a witness in any stream.

One of my favorite verses is: “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15 The NASB says it this way: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”

There is a part that we have to play here on earth, we are to study, to be diligent workman, making sure that we accurately understand the Word of truth. Whether that truth be through the written word or the spoken word, we must discern if it be of God or not, and if it is from God, we need to apply it and obey it.

Finally, remember that men are fallible, all men (and women). Men make mistakes and miss it. We are not to criticize and condemn someone for missing it. God will deal with them. We only take what is ours, what God witnesses in our spirit is from Him for us, it is His business to take care of others. We can pray, should pray, for truth to prevail in the lives of our loved ones, but we must leave them with Him for the working out of His plan in their lives. Amen!

Terror, disasters, turmoil, trouble, catastrophes, all of these have been with us from Eden, but they have been increasing in intensity and will until the end of age. They cannot be stopped, but they can be lessened. Prayer, your prayers, cumulatively and progressively made, can alter or lessen the impact of all of these things upon the world.

Don’t think that your little prayers don’t matter, added to the prayers of others they become powerful for God. Keep praying, keep believing, keep sharing, it does matter. It matters for now and it matters for eternity.

Thank you friends for staying with this very long message and thanks for allowing me to share my heart with you. Keep praying and keep pressing toward the goal of a world where God rules and reigns for all eternity. Amen!

God bless you,
Joy

A Soldiers Song

He sat in the barracks on a Sunday afternoon and as he sat his thoughts were about life. He pondered his life now and his life later, a life that would include her, the woman he had chosen to be his bride.

He wrote:

My Darling,
As I write this letter to you, it may seem rambling, but, I want you to know that in the quiet of the barracks this afternoon I am thinking of you. I love you, my darling. It has been difficult for me to accept the fact that you love me, as I have wondered if I am right for you. The closer we get to marriage the more sure I become that it is right and that we were meant for each other.

In the barracks with me are several different types of males. Some of them are boys and some of them are men. Once the work is done they each depart the base, going their separate ways. Since we are near the ocean, many seek the warmth of the sun at the beach, hoping to catch a glimpse of a pretty girl, hoping that one of them might join him “catching some rays”.

There are others who engage in pursuits that lead them down a darkened path to destruction because of feelings of hopelessness or despair. Some of these will take their own life before basic is over, others will begin addictions that will be difficult to break later.

Many of the boys seek pleasure in the company of a woman, hoping to relieve the boredom and find a little fun before they have to report back to work. Most of them find little fulfillment in the pleasure they seek.

Then there are the men, those who have chosen to be a soldier, who have found a measure of happiness and contentment in the service of their country. Some of these are enlisted and some of them have been drafted, but all in this category have made the decision to give it their best.

They have come to realize that a soldier’s life is a necessity to keep the country strong and to keep the forces of evil from expanding in this uneasy world. These men love the land of their birth and want to give back a measure of what they have been given. They are prepared to defend the land to death, if necessary, so that the citizens can enjoy the freedom granted to us in the Constitution. This freedom is granted to us by God and it is to be jealously guarded, for it is a precious thing.

As I think about the future, I see that in this life I am now engaged in, there is rank and order, weapons and medicine, airplanes and submarines and such, but I also see a time when this period of time is over and I, and they, will return home.

For one returning home may be to mother, father, sisters or brothers. For another it may be to a job or business. They will rest knowing that all is secure from the forces of evil because others are taking their place.

There are a few who are returning to love, not the love of parents or friends, but the full love of a woman, the one he has chosen to be his wife. That is the most precious reason a man can have for contentment and security. He knows that a job or business can be had with diligence and hard work, and the money it pays can buy what is needed for daily life, he also knows that a man’s parents and siblings are a great comfort, but the love of a good woman is hard to find.

It is in you, my darling, that I have found this kind of love. I was only part man, a boy really, until I met you. When we are joined in marriage I will finally be complete. Together we will make a home. With you I am happy, with you I am contented. I pray that I will be the man you need me to be, that my love will measure yours. May all see how much we love each other.

As we begin our life together soon, we will not have a lot of material wealth, but wealth is not measured in the abundance of possessions, but rather in the intangible things such as our love, mutual respect and caring for one another. In time things will be added to us.

I cannot help but also consider the wealth of family. Our children will be a great joy to us, whether God gives us one or many. The day of our wedding we will make a promise to each other and to our children that our home will be a place where they can learn of life and be secure in love and happiness.

Darling, there is much unseen and unknown at this time. Many things can happen in life and we must be prepared for what may come. It is the love and trust in each other and in God that will carry us through to the end.

I look forward to becoming your husband and taking you as my wife. I am proud to give you my name. The ring I will wear is a circle and reminds me that there is no end, no taking apart what God has put together, it represents my love for you.

I am ready to assume my responsibilities as a man. With you as my helpmate, by my side, I will succeed in life.

May God keep you, my Darling, until we meet again.

Love,

Judgment or Discernment?

“Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned with the measure you use to deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you.” Matthew 7: 1-2 AMP

“But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No} you must not so much as eat with such a person. What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgment [passing censuring sentence on them as the facts require]? God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside.” I Corinthians 5: 11-13 AMP

I see two sides of the coin of judgment. First, if you judge, criticize and condemn others you are going to get the same in return. There is a law in the Kingdom of God called, “The law of Sowing and Reaping.” What you give out will come back to you. Secondly, according to the Apostle Paul, you must discern and judge what you are seeing and hearing so that you will not be deceived.

Scripture tells us that in the last days there will be great deception, to the point that even the very elect of God will be tempted to believe the deception. Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonder; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Are the above scriptures the end of this matter of judging and discerning? By no means. There is much that the Word of God has to say about this subject. My purpose in bringing the subject to this venue is this: To warn whoever reads this that deception has been unleashed in greater measure, and Christian people are to be warned that they might be aware and beware as well.

I am a Watchman and therefore I am accountable for what I see. According to the Word of God, I must be watching for the approach of the enemy of the Kingdom and I must warn when I see him coming. I see him coming!

James 4:11-12 (AMP) tells us, “[My] brethren, do not speak evil about or accuse one another. He that maligns a brother or judges his brother is maligning and criticizing the Law and judging the Law, But if you judge the Law, you are not a practicer of the Law but a censor and judge [of it} One only is the Lawgiver and Judge Who is able to save and to destroy [the One Who has the absolute power of life and death]. [But you] who are you that [you presume to] pass judgment on your neighbor?”

Since Life and Death are in the power of the tongue, (Proverbs 18:21 AMP) and “they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]” and since Matthew 12:36-37 (AMP) says that “men will give an account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.”, and since these words are true, then it would be well for each of us to be very careful what we have to say. Words do matter.

Having said all of that and having pointed you to the scripture regarding the subject of judgment, criticism and condemning others I want to bring forth something that I have seen so that you can discern for yourself whether these things be of God or not.

Very recently, a major Christian “Star”, took a stand with and for uniting with another professed Christian whose beliefs differ starkly in contrast to his own and to the Scripture. Paul declared: “What harmony can there be between Christ and a wicked, worthless person? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?” II Corinthians 6:15 (AMP)

When we hear of situations like the above, we must discern not judge if this be of God or not. Discernment is done not by emotion or affection for a person or ministry, nor does it fall into the category of rationalization, rather, it is your human spirit led by the Holy Spirit that will discern if this is the work of God, the work of man, or even possibly the work of the enemy of God.

Another major incident has occurred. This one is very controversial and being batted about on many venues. The lead player of a very famous rock music group declared that he is now a believer in Jesus, having been freed from his sinful lifestyle, it was killing him; it killed the mother of his child and he realized was setting a bad example for the child.

The problem that some have with this scenario is that he believes he heard from Jesus that he should go back into the rock world and bring the band and the people who attend their concerts the gospel, and then when this is done they are to sing the same old songs about sin.

It has been pointed out that before the concert the band, who are now all “saved”, go into the crowd and lead the people to Jesus and people are also getting healed physically. Are these conversions genuine? Are these healings genuine? God knows.

I suggest that you might want to read II Thessalonians 7-12, it is too long to put here. The jist of the passage is that deception is at work in the world and to prevent being deceived you must have a love of the truth. (verse 10)

The kingdom of the enemy will be active against the Kingdom of God until Jesus comes, there will be miracles and signs and wonders done by people who belong to the kingdom of darkness, the Word of God says there will. Darkness and Light, two kingdoms competing for the souls of men.

Jesus warned, “And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or lo, he is there; believe him not.” Mark 13:21 “Then” in this passage refers to the time at the end of the age when false Christs and false prophets will be sent, by the enemy of God and His Kingdom, into the world to deceive; with the purpose of taking as many as possible to eternal damnation.

In past years I have heard from various sources that a great harvest of souls will come into the Kingdom of God just prior to the removal of the Bride of Christ. I have heard that this time will not be like it has been in the years past and that the church must be ready to receive those who are not at the same place “we” are.

Is there any doubt that we are close to the end of the age? Is there any doubt that it is getting darker as each day goes by in the kingdoms of this world? Is there any doubt that God is moving in power upon people and sometimes quite sovreignly through visions and dreams to bring them into His Kingdom? I don’t think so. It is widely reported that God is healing unbelievers as well. I believe to get their attention and bring them into the Kingdom of God.

What is the fruit produced by someone who claims to be a Christian? It can be those whom he has brought to Christ. There is much in the Word of God concerning fruit that would require much study. But, in regard to the subject of judgment and discernment, the fruit of the person, his work, is what will be judged by God when we all stand before Him, according to I Corinthians 3:13. Will the fruit that you have produced remain?

Those who have turned many to righteousness shall shine like the stars according to Daniel 12:3.

I personally know a man who was touched at a “Christian” concert, who “accepted Christ”, yet later confessed that he no longer believed in God. Decisions and choices are made that will affect the final outcome, for it is crossing the finish line that matters in the end.

It is my opinion that many so called conversions are produced at the height of emotion; not being genuine the attendee very quickly goes back to his old lifestyle. It should also be noted that if a person is not mentored after their conversion, there will not be a much change in lifestyle.

Ignorance is not bliss and sometimes it leads to destruction. Jesus parable of the seed, the sower and the ground in Mark chapter 4 shows a picture of what can happen when good seed falls into bad ground and good ground.

It is written in Luke 6:43-44 “For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.” “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16

Times have changed and are changing rapidly. The world, our country and even our own little worlds are very different than five years ago. It appears that everything in this world is getting darker by the day, and yet, it appears as though the Kingdom of God is getting brighter and brighter. Isaiah 60:1-3 speaks of this very thing.

The end of the age will naturally and spiritually bring a harvest, because everything comes to fulness at harvest time, the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness will both produce fruit. It will be a harvest of righteousness and a harvest of unrighteousness, fulness in both areas.

Your choice will determine whether you are in darkness or light, what you do with Jesus is the determining factor. When harvest is over some will enter into life eternal in Heaven and some will enter into life eternal in Hell. Your choice…here and now…determines destination. Don’t put off a decision for Heaven, Jesus is the door, there is no other.

Jesus, talking about the last days said, “Go into the highways and byways and compel them to come in that my house may be full.” Luke 14:23 When they come from the highways and byways they will not be clean, they will have the taint of an evil world upon them because that is where they have lived in the darkness of sin. It is here that the church of Jesus Christ must discern and not judge. May the Lord grant us His huge compassionate heart for those who don’t know Him and His love, so that we will see as He sees and love as He loves. This is my prayer for all of us.

Jesus and I love you,
Joy
