Acceleration, as I see it, means moving forward with increasing speed.
The Word of God says that we are to “walk in the Spirit” and we won’t fulfill “the lust of the flesh”. As I reflect upon that statement, I am reminded of a time when I was struggling with allowing Jesus to be my LORD. I understood that, though I had been born of the Spirit since I was fifteen years of age, I was not living the life that I read about in the Bible. I had to learn the difference between condemnation and conviction.
Conviction or condemnation come from two different sources. Most of the unsaved world and many of those who consider themselves to be Christian, come under condemnation by satanic operatives, while conviction comes from God through the office of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation is totally different.
We feel condemned when we do something that we believe in our heart is wrong. (please note that this is in the sense realm) Whether we know it or not, we are conditioned by our environment from the time we are born to do right or wrong and we, most of us, behave accordingly.
Our primary pursuit in life is whatever goal we put before the eyes of our heart. What you aim for is where you will end up. Deterrents along the way will keep us from our goal unless we are persistent and determined to end up at the destination we have chosen. Condemnation will keep you focused on yourself, you want to run from God and in the end you will miss the mark. Graham Cook declares, “God is the kindest person I know.” He will forgive you when you confess your sin, and not only does He forgive, He forgets.
God is faithful! I do not know how many times I have heard Mary Bostrom declare it. He is faithful, and He will see to it that we have a course correction called conviction when we have turned off on a side road that could lead to our destruction. Conviction always leads us to Him and when we confess our sin He is faithful “to forgive us and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.” (every and any way that we have taken other than His way) Praise Him!
Acceleration…we, the world as we know it, are moving rapidly toward the end of the church age. I was told that when Jesus returns to earth the second time it will be as bad as it was when He came the first time. It was a time of great wickedness, great darkness was upon the earth under the Roman Empire.
I have read Isaiah 60:1-2 many times over the last several years, and I have been praying and watching to see when the darkness spoken of in this passage will come to pass. I believe we are there.
Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem] and His glory shall be seen on you.
The whole Bible is given to the people of God, Jew and Gentile. The primary way God speaks to His people is through the pages of the Book. We are taught by the Spirit that a person that has received the Jewish Messiah, Yahshua [Jesus in English] as His own Messiah, becomes part of Israel having been grafted into the Olive Tree, into the Body of the Messiah; so this passage, quoted above, is not only applicable to Jerusalem, but also to the Body of the Messiah
At no time in my years upon planet Earth have I witnessed such utter depravity and wickedness in society. Good is now evil and evil (according to the Bible definition) is now good. Each person does what is right in his own eyes. Because the world does not accept God and His way of doing and being right, deception comes upon them and they fall into agreement with the Kingdom of darkness.
There have always been some who chose to agree with the forces of darkness, who were tools in the hand of the enemy of God, used by him to create havoc upon the earth, but never before has most of society gone along with the ways of the kingdom of darkness. This is not only in America, but also worldwide. Idolatry, Immorality and shedding of Innocent blood is common in our world today.
I have written before of the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the adversary of God, so I will not go into that at this time, suffice to say that there are two kingdoms and two kings or rulers. One is truly the King and His name is Jesus; having been born to rule, he earned the title of Lord and King by His life and sacrificial death. The other ruler is a usurper, a pretender to the throne…thus the war that takes place between light and darkness.
Could God dispense with the kingdom of darkness and its king? Yes, with a word. As a hymn of long ago says, “One little word will fell him.” God is a God of purpose and He has a plan and that plan will be fulfilled. Which side are you on?
Acceleration… It seems that time has been ramped up. We are moving more quickly forward now than in years past. Accordingly, we would do well to examine these things to see where we fall, what camp or company we are walking with.
In the last few days, in a small town, a Christian couple was murdered, their home was set on fire to destroy the evidence and a vehicle was burned for the same reason. The perpetrators were three young men, all from different towns in the same general area. My thought was, “How did they got connected to each other since they did not live close to each other.”
I believe that in this day of acceleration both camps, good and evil, are coming together; there is a joining that is taking place because the war is intensifying. The battle for supremacy, for the title of God of the world, will be waged. I have read the back of “The Book” and God wins; the adversary is defeated and dealt with at last. In the meantime, there will be many casualties of war.
Are you ready? Have you prepared your household? Do you have your armor on, this will be more than a skirmish, it will be life or death.
As a watchman I can see it in the distance, it is coming near. There is no safe place! There is safety only in Jesus. Are you in Jesus, have you been grafted into the Olive Tree, are you part of the body of Messiah, are you a member of the Army of God? Soon the fight for our lives will be upon us, persecution is coming to the church in a way we in America have not experienced since the founding of our nation. Get ready! Get ready!
Because I care,
