Shy

There are some of us that think like this:  I am a shy person.  How does Merriam-Webster define the word shy?

Shy:

  1.  Easily frightened: TIMID
  2. disposed to avoid a person or thing
  3. hesitant in committing oneself: CIRCUMSPECT
  4.  sensitively diffident or retiring: RESERVED
  5.  SECLUDED, HIDDEN
  6.  having less than the full or specified amount or number.
  7.  DISREPUTABLE

There you have it.  I think that most people are thinking of shy as the definition in number 4 above explains when they tell you that they are shy.  There are some who use shyness as a reason or perhaps an excuse for not doing something that is required of them in any given situation.  Being shy is an outward manifestation of what is deposited in the soul.

The soul is a repository of every experience that a person has ever had, usually complete with pictures, emotions and attitudes.  When the Bible says, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”, I believe it is referring to the soul.  The deposits on the pages of the soul determine the words and actions that we take.

Depending on age, we have little or much that is imprinted on the pages of the soul.  Depending on circumstances what is imprinted there can be good or bad and either encourages or discourages us.  I believe it controls us to some degree.

The soul of a person contains his mental capacity, his will and his emotions and affections.  In essence the soul of a person is what you encounter when you meet them.

There is another way of seeing the soul, and that is defined by personality.  By this I mean, is the person reserved or are they outgoing.? I have a friend who sees other people as friends she hasn’t met yet.  She loves to talk to people and has many “friends”.

There are other people who are more reserved, quieter by nature, they have a harder time speaking with people they don’t know.  They have a few friends with whom they are very close.  They may even appear to be aloof, but in reality it is their personality.

So far I have been speaking from the natural standpoint.  There is one factor that can change all of this and that is the experience of meeting Jesus the Messiah.  This experience is life changing.  Perhaps I should say that it can be life changing.

When a person asks Jesus to come into their life because they see that this is a good thing to do, their experience may be true or it may not be.  Some people have been “scared” into accepting Jesus into their life by someone telling them that they will go to Hell if they don’t.

It is good to receive Jesus into your life; by receiving Jesus you are brought out of the kingdom of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of God, which is light and Heaven becomes your destination.  But, many who claim to be Christians (Christ ones) have never had a real experience with the Savior, repented of their sin and turned to Him for salvation.  It can be mental assent and that is not the true conversion experience.

When you truly see that it was your sin that caused Jesus to be crucified, it breaks you, it changes you, there is no other way.  He is the only way.  When you ask Him for forgiveness, you experience being “born-again”.  Your human spirit becomes new, this is defined as a new creature, a new creation, something that never existed before.  If you have not experienced that, if I were you I would question whether what I have is true.

While the spirit of a man is made into something that did not exist before, fashioned for the Kingdom of God, becomes “a son of God”, the soul remains the same as it was.  There is usually no change but some have experienced an instant release from destructible habits.

The Word of God states that it is by hearing the Word preached, by fellowship (hanging around) with the people who are like you now, and reading and studying the Word of God, that your soul will be changed.  This is a process that will go on your whole life.  It is that your soul will become like Jesus when He walked on the earth.  It is to fit you for Heaven as well as to equip you to do the work of ministering for the Kingdom of God on the earth.

I am shy therefore I can’t……..    The Word of God says:  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

If you have been born-again, if you have taken your soul to the Word of God, if you fellowship with other believers on a regular basis, if you have asked God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, if you have done all you know to do promote and strengthen God’s Kingdom on the earth, if you pray earnestly for the things that are on the heart of the Father, then your soul will be transformed and you will no longer be timid, reserved, hidden, but you will choose to do whatever the Holy Spirit leads you to do.  As someone said, “Sometimes I just do it afraid.”

When someone says, “I am shy.”  I think, “They are self-centered not God-centered.”  When we are God-centered we can literally do the exact opposite of our natural temperament, our natural inclinations.  That is why the Apostle Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Jesus wants to live in us, with us and through us.  He wants His Father’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  That is why He taught His disciples to pray that way.  Father sent the Holy Spirit to indwell every believer , He gives us the power we need to live a victorious life here on the earth.

I trust that this message will help you to see that you really can do more for God than you thought you could.  Draw upon the power of the Holy Spirit and you could be another Billy Graham, another Rees Howells or another John Kilpatrick.   All things are possible to those who believe.   Only believe!

In His love,

Happy Thanksgiving!

An Open Letter to Jameson

My dear son:

I see you wasting your life, I see you giving the wonderful gift of life that God gave you to a spirit that is not of His Kingdom.

Kingdom?  Yes, God is a King and He has a Kingdom.  The world that you live in has two kingdoms.   First of all there is The Kingdom of Light, of which God is the King.  Second is the kingdom of darkness, the fallen angel Lucifer is the king.  You know him as satan or the devil.

Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, came into the earth to be the Savior of mankind.  What are you to be saved from?  Saved from the kingdom of darkness, saved from misery, pain and bondage, saved from your ultimate destination, Hell.

God extended His love to the Gentile world through Israel’s Savior.  But, salvation is not automatic, it must be received.  You are saved out of darkness into light only by a choice that you make.  God has done all that He could do for mankind through Jesus.  Now, the rest is up to you.

What happens to you if you do not receive the gift of life from God?

Hell was created for the devil and his angels, called demons and evil spirits.  It was not created for mankind.  It is a place of eternal torment with no means of escape.  A being is bound there and tormented forever.  There is no light, no love, no laughter, no peace…no God!  There is an overwhelming smell that nauseates a person; it is dark and there is no water there.  Every person who has not chosen to receive God’s provision through Jesus comes there when he or she dies.  There are good people in Hell.

There are only two choices Jameson, Heaven or Hell.  You choose while you live.  When you die the choice you made is where you go.  No choice is a choice, and Hell is the destination.

You are living in Hell now as you live upon the earth.  The lifestyle that you have chosen is Hell on earth.  There is a spirit of the kingdom of darkness that promotes the use of drugs.  The purpose is to numb your mind, to prevent you from having a good life and fulfilling God’s plan for your life and ultimately to send you to Hell.

The Word of God says that the Devil has come into the earth to steal, kill and destroy.  That pretty much describes what is happening to you.  He is stealing your life day by day, killing your relationships with others and destroying any hope you might have of having a normal life with a wife, children. and a good job.

Now, through the lust of your flesh you have conceived a child.  This child will not know the love of a mother and father in a home that is blessed by God through a godly marriage.  You have chosen.  It  is not well.  You will answer to God for this child.

Divorce is a ripping apart, it is spiritual bloodshed.  Your mother and father covenanted before God to love each other for the rest of their lives.  Because they chose not to do so, you children were affected, especially you.  This was not your fault.

At the point in your life when your mother threatened divorce, you reacted fearfully.  The world without God does not have a true answer, a lasting peace.  And now you are trying to numb the pain, the hurt, the wounds you received as a young boy with drugs.  This is not the answer, Jameson, Jesus is the answer.

Jesus taught His disciples that God is “Our Father who is in Heaven”.  You cannot be a father unless you have children.  God had a plan to get back what was given to Lucifer in the Garden of Eden by Adam.  That plan was to send Himself, His Son, to buy back what had been given away.  This purchase could only be made through bloodshed, Jesus blood.

God has made a way where there seems to be no way.  You can get out of the mess you are in through Jesus.  He is the door to the Kingdom of God.  In the Kingdom of God there is deliverance, healing, protection, provision, peace, love and joy, the right way of doing and being.

How do you get into the Kingdom of God?

First of all, you must realize that you have chosen to reject God’s way of doing and being right for your own way.  The Bible calls this sin.

All have sinned and fallen short of the mark God has set.  There are no exceptions.  God is Holy, Pure, without fault or sin.  That is the standard set by Him for any who want to come into the Kingdom of Light.  It should be obvious that no man can meet that high standard.

This is where God’s plan to save mankind comes in.  Enter Jesus on the human scene.

Jesus was called “The Word” before He came to earth as a human being.  He was fully God and fully Man when He lived on the earth.  He never sinned.  He lived a perfect life. He died for you so that you could live for Him.  God accepted Jesus sacrifice.  He became the door into the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Light.

The debt of sin was so great that no man alone could pay it.  So God Himself, in the form of the man Jesus, came to pay a debt He did not owe for a debt we could not pay.  In so doing the door to Heaven was opened through Him.  Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life and no man comes to the Father except through Him.

Now, my dear son, you have been shown the door.  It is up to you to open the door and walk into the Kingdom of God.  It is the love of the Father for you that compels me to send this letter.  But, the choice is yours.

Know this:  I love you and I pray that you will be aware that the path you are on is leading you to Hell.  That would be your destination if you died today.  No choice is a choice.

Choose today to turn from the kingdom of darkness.  Jesus will help you if you turn to Him with all your heart.  Cry out to Him for mercy upon you and ask Him to forgive you for rejecting Him and choosing your own way.  Ask Him to deliver you from drugs and all the things of the kingdom of darkness.  He loves you so much that He gave His life for yours.  He will transfer you from darkness to light, you will begin a new life as a child of God.

I love you Jameson.  I pray that you will come to know my precious Savior.

Time

It has been quite a while since I have posted here.  My life is full of God opportunities, which to the best of my ability I take.  In other words I am about my Father’s business.

Having said that, this morning there are so many thoughts upon my heart that I could probably go on here for quite sometime.  But, I want to share with you, dear reader, this thought:  Time is a box and we are all given an allotted portion in it.   We are expected by God to use that allotment wisely.

God is not limited to time.  He is not in a box, any box;  He created time and is therefore the Lord of time.  He created mankind and placed them into a box we call time.  We are born into the earth at a specific time, a time that we celebrate as our birth day.  There is a time we call death or dying, where we leave the earth life and go on into eternity.

Mankind is first of all a spirit and a spirit does not die.  The spirit of a man goes into eternity at the death of the body, and if the person has believed in their heart and confessed with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, when it goes into eternity it will go to Heaven

Recently, Isaiah 66:18 stood out to me.  “It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues and they shall come and see my Glory.”

I believe that God is saying that men shall come to Him and they shall see God’s Glory (His manifest presence) and the result will be that many will come to Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

Many are saying that time is running out, that the second coming of Jesus to the earth is imminent.  God knows.  What I feel certain of is that like harvest time comes to crops planted in fields, harvest time for the earth, for mankind to come to know God as their Father, Jesus as their Savior and Lord and Holy Spirit as the one who comes alongside in this earth realm, has come.

Isaiah the prophet said something like this, my paraphrase:  “My ways are not your ways, nor are my thoughts your thoughts, for as high as Heaven is above the earth so are my thoughts than yours.”  We cannot see the wind, but we can see the result of the wind.  “Awaken, thou that sleepest!”  The signs are everywhere.

God is fulfilling in each of our lives the allotted portion of time given to each of us.  What we do with that time will determine rewards when we stand to give an account for the time we have been given.

When the harvest of the earth takes place, many will come to faith in Jesus and choose to follow Him.  There is great need for those who know Him to be ready to teach and to demonstrate Kingdom of God life to them.

It is written :  “Can two walk together except they be agreed.”

If we look at America at this present time we see a fractured, splintered people, divided. by ideologies. Elijah the prophet spoke to ancient Israel:  “How long do you halt between two opinions, if the Lord is God serve Him, if Baal is god serve him.” There is a standard and God set it.

Joshua gave a challenge to Israel as they came out of Egypt to enter into the land God had promised to Abraham.   “Choose this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Choices are being made that will affect eternity for many.  It has become clear and will become more clear, that it is a choice between dark and light, God and Lucifer, also known as the devil (accuser)and satan (adversary).  The new world order will come, the one world religion will come, the perfect man will come, but not now, not yet.  It isn’t time.

God gives everyone 24 hours each day.  Each person has a lifespan, some short and some long.  The choices we make affect how short or long it is.  God knows what each of us will do with the time given.  He does not determine that time.  Man has no excuse for how he spends his time.  Each of us makes choices.  The choices we make are solely our responsibility.  These choices, these decisions, either limit or enhance our lives, and they also determine where we will spend eternity.

Time is a commodity, it can be spent wisely or foolishly.  The fruit of time spent is in your heart and in your mouth.  You will receive the consequences of your choices

People speak of killing time, but time cannot be killed.  People waste time, pass time etc.  Time requires some kind of action on our part.  We will answer for how we spent it.

Let us use the time we are given on this planet wisely.

Do you know the giver of time?  Have you come to know God through Jesus His Son?  If you have not, what better time than now.  Give your heart, your life, your time to Jesus, He died that you might live for God on earth and through all eternity.

Father, in Jesus name, I ask that You will touch each person who reads my message today and from then on;  that You will show them that You love them and have a good plan for their lives.  Bring many to salvation in Jesus, Father, I pray.  Amen.

CHANGES

My heart is somewhat sad right now because of circumstances in my world.  Not me or my husband, beyond that.

I have a friend who is beyond the 80 years mentioned in Scripture that we can have as humans on planet earth, actually I have a few friends that age.  This friend has recently gone through a bit of a hard time.

She developed a physical problem that worsened over the period of a few days and she ended up in the hospital.  Going through several days there, it was recommended that she go to a rehabilitation facility for a week.

She lost something through this experience.  She is not the same and it bothers me.

I know her to be full of zest for life.  Always one to be ready for an adventure, she would be ready to go at the drop of a hat if any of her friends suggested doing something.

She liked to talk about what was going on in the world, both secular and Christian.  And she longed to contribute something to the world, she wanted to do something, to be involved.

When I visited her at the rehab place she was searching why she was there and came to the conclusion that she was there to bring a smile or some joy into an otherwise dark place.  This she did by visiting people in their rooms and saying,  “Hi!” in the halls as she met people, and always with a smile.

She came “home” to a messy place, but together we made short order of picking it up so she would feel comfortable to welcome her family members who were coming the next day for a visit.

She reported being happy with the way the visit went.

So, what is my problem?  A part of the person that she was is gone, I can’t put my finger on exactly what, but I am sad.  I pray that it will come back, but if it doesn’t I need to accept that.

The consolation, and there always is a consolation with God, is that no matter what happens to my friend or any of us for that matter, who we really are in the spirit will never change, never die and if we are believers we will be together as whole persons forever throughout all eternity, and I praise God for that!

One of my children has gone through a divorce this year.  Never easy and always painful, divorce rips apart two people who made a covenant before God and witnesses to be together in sickness and health etc. “until death do us part”.

The relationship died before the people did.  It did not happen overnight.  It died by increments.  Hurts, wounds, expectations not met, offenses taken and more. Like knives being plunged into flesh, blood flowed, life left and death came.  The  covenant was broken, the end came…separation…then divorce.

Loneliness begins to set in like cold on a 20 degree below zero day and it chills the soul.  All one wants is to be warm again, to feel good again, to be loved again.  It is written:  “It is not good for man to be alone.”  Especially, a young man.  Each man is to have his own wife.  Each woman is to have her own husband.  That is what the Bible says.

Something will fill the void.

My child has chosen a “relationship” that will not lead to marriage.  This is very acceptable in today’s world, it is not acceptable in the Kingdom of God.

The worldly person wants to be accepted, as we all do, but they want you to accept what they do as well.  This a believer cannot do when it disagrees with the Word of God.  Jesus never did that, no one He ministered to left His presence untouched.  Only those who were in rebellion against God were not touched or changed by being in His presence.   He is our example.

How then do we walk this out?

Change is not easy for anyone.  Some accept it more readily than others.  But, change comes to all and many times over a lifetime.

My child is my child.  Nothing will ever change that, not what they say or do, nor where they go, whether alive or dead, they are my child.

Some children choose to walk away from their family.  Others choose to stay in relationship but not walk closely.  Others choose to continue on their pathway, expecting their family to accept who or what they have become.

There are some children who respect and honor their parents to the degree that they will ask for and consider the advice the parents give.  That is called honoring your Father and Mother, a command in the Word of God.

As a friend what do I do?  As a parent what do I do?

Love, unconditional love…first and foremost.  Then “watch and pray” as the Bible says we are to do.  Ultimately though, each of us is responsible to God for himself or herself.

If we are committed to Jesus, then we are to be led by His Holy Spirit.  Being led by the Holy Spirit means that we will be led into what we are to do in each and every situation.  He leads, we follow.  Sometimes that is through the written Word, sometimes through circumstances, sometimes through other people etc.  God is not limited by how He speaks to us.

We have an additional advantage as believers and that is that we are all part of the Body of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, we can turn to another believer for counsel when we cannot see the way.   Our Father, is so good to us.

We do not need to ever second guess our actions when they come from a pure heart of love because God will make sure that all things work together for good because we love Him.  He is a good, good Father!

We do not need to ever receive guilt, accusation or condemnation.  God is not in any of that.  It is a work of the kingdom of darkness.  God is love and in Him is no darkness at all.

The Word of God tells us to Submit to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us.

Stand strong on the Word of God, stay in faith that God is involved in everything that pertains to you and your life because He loves you so much.

When it is all over here on planet earth, there is Life, Love and Laughter for all eternity for those who love God, for those who have received what Jesus did at the cross for them…It is personal.

Amen, praying for you today…. God bless you, Joy

The Message

Love:  Greek;  Agapao  “To welcome, to entertain, to be fond of, to love dearly.”

God so loved the world that He gave…Jesus.   (John 3:16)

Show us the Father and it will be enough! Have I been with you so long and you do not know me. I am in the Father and the Father is in me.  If you have seen me you have seen the Father.    (John 14:9)

The image of Jesus is the image of the Father.   (Hebrews 1:3)

Let us create man in our image and our likeness.   (Genesis 1:26)

From the foundation of the world, I knew you.   (Ephesians 1:4)

All your parts were known to me and planned before the world was made.  In my book every day of your life was written when as yet there were none.  Psalm 139: 1-18)

God IS love.  Jesus is the face of God.   (I John 4: 8-20)  (John 14:9)

Many were offended and left…Will you leave also?  To whom shall we go, you have the words of Life.  (John 6: 66-69)

Eternity….no end.  (Isaiah 57:15)

It is appointed unto men once to die and then comes judgment.   (Hebrews 9:27)

Some men’s sins go before them openly and some follow after to judgment.                 (I Timothy 5:24)

No man comes to the Father except by me.   (John 14:6)

Forgive and you will be forgiven.  If you refuse to forgive then God cannot forgive you.   (Mark 11:24-25)

There are no liars, murderers, idolaters, adulterers, sorcerers, thieves, covetous, drunkards, extortioners…..in God’s Kingdom of Heaven….only those who love God and follow the Lamb of God, slain from the foundation of the world…God had a plan and He executed His plan.  There is no other way to God, to Heaven, except through Jesus.  (Revelation 22:15)  (I Corinthians 6:10)  (Revelation 13:8)  (John 14:6)

When you turn from darkness to light, you are transferred into the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of God.   (Colossians 1:13)  (Isaiah 57:15)

Eternity with God in the perfection and completeness of all things.   (Luke 12:37)

Eternity without God.  Complete perfection of darkness and evil.  (Matthew 25:30, 41)

You choose whom you will serve.  No one makes that decision for you.  (Joshua 24:15)

God loved you so much that He made a way for you to be with Him forever.  It is not your way.  It is not the way of any other.  His way is the only way.   (John 14:6)

There is a pouring out.  (Acts 2:17-18)

There is a time for everything.   (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

God gives because God loves.   (John 3:16)

This is not a new message, but it is a message that blinded eyes cannot see and it falls on deaf ears in each generation.  How shall they hear unless someone tells them?  Who will go?  Who will tell?  Who will pray that they may hear? (Romans 10:14)

This is not a message for the mind of natural man.  The message is for the hungering heart, the thirsting soul.  It is for the “whoever will come”.  (Mark 8:34-35)

Broad is the way that leads to destruction, many follow its way.  Narrow is the way the leads to life and few find it.   (Matthew 7:13-14)

Every gate, every door leads to somewhere, something, some way.  A gate may look beautiful, fun, interesting but it may ultimately leads to destruction, death and Hell.  Choices matter for eternity.  (Proverbs 14:12; 16:25)

Jesus said if you are not with Him you are against Him.  (Luke 11:23)

There are many gates, many doors and many choices.  Choices can be made even if you are going the wrong way.  You can turn around and go back.  It is not too late.  As long as there is breath in your body, you can turn around.   (Revelation 3:20)

God calls you to come home, come back to the one who made you, the one who placed your spirit in that little bit of flesh in your mother’s womb, the one who grew and became strong enough to enter into the world of men.  He created you.                  (Genesis 5:1-2)  (Isaiah 43:7; 45;12)

Come home, can’t you hear Him calling?  “I love you my son, I love you my girl, come home.  You are welcome.  It doesn’t matter to me where you have been or what you have done, I love you.  I will clean you up, just trust me, come to me.”          (Revelation 22:17)

Pray:  Father, I come.  Just as I am.  Forgive me.  Thank you for receiving me.  I receive what Jesus did for me.  Thank you for giving me life eternal!                    (Psalm 61:2  62:7)  (I Peter 2:1-10)

If you have prayed to receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord, welcome to the family of God.  It is important for your spiritual growth that you find others who believe as you believe and enter into relationship with them.  It is important that you have a Bible that is written so that you can read and understand it, it is the manufacturers handbook, so to speak, and you need it to know how to live from now on.

The new birth as recorded in John chapter 3, opens the way for God’s Holy Spirit to come to live inside of you.  There is a subsequent (or can be at the same time) infilling called the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as recorded in the book of Acts.

The Holy Spirit baptizes you into the “Body of Christ” and Jesus baptizes you into the Holy Spirit.  These two things are a work of the grace of God, independent of your works.  You cannot earn either one, you just receive.   (I Corinthians 12:13)   (Mark 1:8) (Acts 1:5, 8; 2:1-4)

“Not by works of righteousness that we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.”   (Titus 3:5)

May the Lord complete that good work that He has done in you.  Amen!

Joy

The Kingdom of God

God has a kingdom. The King of that Kingdom is Jesus the Jewish Messiah. His Hebrew name was Yeshua, or Yahoshua, or Yahshua. I have seen it written many ways. It simply means Savior. Many men were named this as the people expected the Messiah to come and they hoped their son would be the one. They did not know God or His ways.

The Jewish people of today are a mixed tribal people made up of all 12 sons of Jacob. What is of interest to me is that many of the Jewish people still know what their ancestral tribe is.

God selected a man named Abraham as the federal head of this race of people. Back in history they were called Hebrews, today they are called Jews. This is predominantly because in the reign of King David, Israel, the name given to Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham, was divided into two kingdoms called Israel and Judah. From the name Judah came Jew. Today we know of the country called Israel and a people called Jews.

People have a way of changing and distorting history to suit themselves. Names and places are often changed. Even here in America this can be seen as many seek to find their ancestors through sources such as ancestry.com.

I see and I dream, not always, but as the Spirit wills. On the 14th of September in the place between sleep and awake, I heard the following words:

God has a kingdom, it is made up of many men, women, and children. He is issuing invitations to people to come in and become citizens.”

Jesus is the king of the kingdom. He is the way to become a citizen.”

Would you like to become a citizen of the Kingdom of God?”

When I got up I wrote the following:

“God has a plan and a purpose for every person on earth. He has given each of us the choice to accept His will and plan or to refuse it.”

“God loves you. He is our Father. (of those who have chosen Jesus) We (all) came from Him to earth on temporary duty. If you choose to accept His offer you will be among a company who will spend eternity in total bliss.”

“The alternative is that you will spend your allotted time on earth as you see fit and will spend eternity in a place bereft of all that is light and good.”

“The choice is yours. God loves you and His plan for your life is for good, not evil, but unless you are a citizen of the Kingdom of God, He has no legal right to send His blessing to you.”

“How do you become a citizen you ask?”

“You receive what God’s son, Jesus, did for you. He came to earth as a human being. His birth was through a woman named Miriam, Mary, a woman whose heritage was from the family of King David, the king of Israel. He was of the seed of Abraham.”

“Miriam was a young girl whom God had prepared to be the carrier of His seed. She was impregnated by the Holy Spirit of God, she was a virgin. This had been told by the prophets centuries before. `Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, He shall be called Emmanuel, God with us.”

“It is written that Yeshua, Jesus, was crucified on a Roman cross. He died and was buried. He rose up from the grave, from death. Then, as the High priest of God, He went back to His Father; taking His blood He placed it on the mercy seat before the throne of God. Because of this action, anyone can come to the Father in Jesus name and become a member of the Kingdom of God.”

“Jesus was on earth many days after His resurrection. It is my personal belief that prior to His resurrection Jesus appeared to every tribe of people on the earth to tell them about the Kingdom of God and the way to enter in.”

“After His resurrection, it is written that He sat down at the right hand of God. As the King of the Kingdom and as the High priest of the new covenant in His blood, He mediates that covenant, He lives to make intercession for the children of God”

Whosoever will may enter in to the Kingdom of God. It is simply a decision to do so. Jesus is the Way.

Would you like to become a citizen of the Kingdom of God? Ask and you will receive, when you desire it with all your heart.

It’s In The Book

This morning I was thinking of the mindset of a child, specifically a teen-age child.  His mindset and worldview is so very limited and yet he arrogantly thinks he knows it all, he knows what is best for him, he doesn’t need an adult to tell him anything.

Just walk into any book store, Barnes and Noble for instance, and consider the plethora of books and magazines on their shelves. In addition they can tap into a catalog of millions,.  Can any one person know it all?

Nearly every city has its own newspaper.  Books, magazines and newspapers, the stuff of life for most people of my generation.  The local newspaper of the small town of 500 that I grew up near, wrote about who visited who over the week-end,  about the people who met at the cemetery to celebrate Memorial Day, and of upcoming events one must be sure to attend; such as the Democrats marching down main street in support of Harry Truman.  Now that last one makes me older than dirt, for sure, LOL!

If that doesn’t stretch your imagination… How about the Library of Congress? That vast collection boggles the imagination.

People have a need to know and others have a need to make known.  Oh, how a person’s worldview affects his life here on earth, but not only on earth but also for all eternity.  God hates pride, it is what started the archangel Lucifer on the path to destruction and those who belong to the Kingdom of darkness reflect his fallen nature.  On the other hand, God loves the humble.

Corrie ten Boom, the Dutch author of “The Hiding Place”, once said that God has a “microscope and a telescope interest in us”.  The creator God in His vastness, that goes beyond human thinking or understanding, has all knowledge.  He knows us and, wonder of it all, loves us still.  It is that love that caused Him to make a way for mankind to come to Him over the bridge of His Son’s sacrifice.  John 3:16

I was just thinking of the verse found in John 21:25…”And there are also many other things which Jesus did the which, if they should be written everyone, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”

Stretching the imagination helps to put things in perspective.  How big is God? How small are human beings?  Consider the vast array of books on any subject you can imagine and then consider the Apostle John’s statement above.

I have over 30 books on Heaven and Hell in my library.  Several authors have spoken of seeing books of many kinds in Heaven.  The most important book of all is the Book of Life.  God keeps that special book for the final judgment.  At that time it will be opened and if your name is not there your judgment is sealed, for all eternity you will have no part in God’s Heaven.  One author called that book, “The Family Album”.

One person who was permitted to see Heaven, was taken to a huge building that housed many books, all of them with a person’s name on them.  He was allowed to look at the patriarch Abraham’s book.  He paged through it looking for the incident where Abraham told Sarah to say she was his sister to save his own neck from the people of the land he had run to.  He was told by Jesus that He didn’t know what he was talking about.  It was not in the book.

Under the Abrahamic covenant sin was removed by animal sacrifice, under the covenant in Jesus blood sin is removed by confession and receiving Jesus sacrifice as the substitute our sin.  I become the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ.

A righteous man’s sin is atoned for by Jesus blood and righteousness, not his own, even the old testament saints had the opportunity to hear the gospel when Jesus went to the place called Sheol and preached to them before taking them to Heaven with Him.  Psalm 68:18  Matthew 27:52-53  Luke 24:50-51  John 1:12-13  Acts 1:3; 11

Doesn’t it say in I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”?  Would it not be unjust to remember our sins, write them down in a book, only to judge something that we already repented of?  Why then do we allow guilt, shame and condemnation to come upon us and torment us when sin has already been confessed and forgiven?  It ought not to be.  Acts 3:19  Consider the source of such torment and resist it in Jesus name.  James 4:7

Before we came to this Earth, God wrote down in a book all of our days “when as yet there was none of them”.  Psalm 139:16

Several people who have been to Heaven have seen “recording angels”. Everything is written down in books…according to their witness.  What is written in your book?  We will be judged by what is in the book.  This is the works judgment for rewards not for salvation.  Salvation is in the “Book of Life” and it is only through Jesus, there is no other way.  Acts 4:12  Daniel 7:10

God loves us.  He is for us and not against us.  He truly knows what is best for us and yet has given us a free will.  We can choose our path through life. Hopefully, as a child grows into a mature adult, he will also grow in humility. After all Jesus said to enter the Kingdom of Heaven you have to be like a little child.  I think He means you have to be humble and trusting like a little child. There is no place for the arrogance or rebellion of the teen years there. Matthew 5:20; 7:21; 18:3

Revelation 20:12  “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.  and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

Since these things be true, what manner of men must we be, living in holiness, righteousness, freedom, love, peace and joy.  Amen!

Serenaded By Angels

One of my best friends died last night. It was the 6th day of July in the year of our Lord, 2017. In the early evening hours Jerilyn Wane Cox stepped out of her body, said goodbye to her loved ones and serenaded by angels, she began her journey home.

I imagine that she was able to ride in a most beautiful transport vehicle. I am sure it was gold and looked like Cinderella’s carriage, all sparkly and covered with gemstones. The angels took her on a tour of the cosmos. She was so excited to see behind her, the beautiful blue marble where she had lived…Earth…now, she was on her way home, home to the Father she loved so much.

They passed the nebula that looked like a big eye and the one that looks like a butterfly and she wondered in awe of Father’s artwork in the sky. Blue was her favorite color and she asked for one more pass around the eye nebula. It reminded her of the blue fire she had seen in the eyes of her beloved Lord Jesus on one occasion.

“That’s enough.” she said, “I want to go home now.” Sooner than a blink of an eye they touched down. She stepped out of the transport into the most beautiful garden she had ever seen. She breathed the air of Heaven for the first time and was in awe. The colors, the smells, the sounds washed over her and a wave of relief, she was finally home where she belonged.

There was a welcoming committee to meet her. The first person she saw was her mother, there too was her grandmother, her grandfather, other relatives and friends; and also people she had known on earth, whose lives she had touched. They hugged her and told how happy they were that she was there. They had known she was coming and they were excited to tell her about the wonders she would see. The family asked about the family still on Earth, they wondered how Al and the children, and the grand-children were doing.

Out of the crowd a beautiful woman with long dark hair came, she threw her arms around Jeri and held her close, it was her dearest friend and prayer partner on earth, Madeline. She was dressed in an incredible gown. It was cream colored with gold and silver threads. It had a royal blue band around the neck, sleeves and hem. She looked beautiful. Jeri could tell that she was of a higher rank than most of the others.

Madeline said, “The Lord has arranged a party for you with all of your loved ones, you and I will be able to be together soon. Smiling, she turned and walked away. What unspeakable joy Jeri felt. How blessed!

Turning to the angel, her own guardian angel, who had been with her since she was conceived, she asked. “When can I see Jesus?” His reply was, “Soon.”

Up to this time she had been so enthralled with her surroundings she had not even noticed her own body. She became aware of it as she stepped on the flowers that were everywhere, they were not crushed, they sprang right back. “My feet, my legs, they are normal, by body is normal!”, she cried. The angel said, “Everything here is perfect as is everyone who is here, because God is perfect and there is no flaw in Him so there is no imperfection in anything or anyone.” She had no extra weight, she was free, healed, whole, she was finally the person that God had destined her to be. Joy and thanksgiving flooded her. Praise came from her lips and became a bridge that she walked upon to the gathering place.

In Heaven it seemed to her that each thing that she saw surpassed the next. The building where the gathering was held, was incredible. God truly was beyond what she had imagined. The joys that He has prepared for His people were so far beyond her earthly imagination that she was silent in the awe and wonder of it all.

King David rushed to meet her, expressing his thanks to her for interceding for the kingdom of His Royal Son. Deborah thanked her for being a mighty prayer warrior. Father Abraham took her in his arms and said, “My dearest daughter Jeri, I am so glad that you have come home. I have been waiting for this day.” Countless others whom she knew from reading the Word of God in the Bible presented themselves to her, welcoming her home.

Suddenly a hush came over the crowd and all turned to the direction of the golden arch and there He stood, He whom her heart loved more than anything or anyone else. Jesus. She ran to Him, falling down at His feet she worshiped. He lifted her up, cupping her face in His hands she heard the most beautiful voice saying. “All of this I have prepared for you my dearest. You cannot know how I have longed for this day. You are precious in my sight and my own special love, if you had been the only one on earth who needed me, I would have paid the ultimate price just for you.”

She was lost in His love. Looking into His eyes which were like love, she saw everything that He had done for her and again all she could do was worship Him.

Holding her close she could feel His heart and she knew that the love of the Father was in every beat. He said, “Now I must take you to the Father.”, as soon as He said it they were in the throne room.

If she felt in awe before, it was increased at least a thousand times as much; words could not express what she felt as they came in, majesty, power, glory, magnificence, opulence, there were no words great enough, nothing but praise, worship, thanksgiving, peace and joy. She was on her face in worship when she heard her name. Looking up she saw her Father. This was the moment she had waited for. She ran to Him and leaped into His lap; He wrapped her up in the arms of Love. Now, she was home, home at last.

I dedicate this to the memory of my precious forever friend, Jeri, I loved you to the end and I look forward to the day when I too will finally be home…“serenaded by angels up to the throne”.

Bible time for Justin and Jacob

“I know the plans I have for you.”  GOD

There is no one His equal.  He is love.  His compassion knows no boundary.  He has no boundaries known to man.  Except one…your will.

He will not allow anyone to put Him in a box of any kind.  He will break out of it every time.

He was, He is and He will be involved in the lives of all mankind because He is the creator of all mankind.

All that He is, His power, His love, His majesty, causes anyone who is in His presence to come away filled with awe and wonder.  In His presence all fall on their face.  Pride crumbles.

He loves mankind so much that in His plan, knowing the past, present and future, He sent His Son, His own unique Son, into the world of men as a man.  He came as a man among men.  He displayed God to man.  He came to redeem, to buy back what had been given away by Adam, the initial created by God man, who made the decision not to trust God’s word.

God is love.  Love gives.

Jesus taught His disciples that God is a father, “Our Father who is in Heaven”.  In this dispensation we are the beneficiaries of the last will and testament of God’s son.  He is the mediator of this New Testament.  He came to Earth to showcase who God is.

God is a Savior.  God is a healer.  God is a deliverer.  God is a provider.  God is a protector.

God is a God of order.  He is not causal or careless.  He is purposeful and intentional.  He is not haphazard.

Corrie ten Boom, author of the book, “The Hiding Place”, tells the story of God’s love for those who abused and murdered her family and the Jewish people.  The Word of God says, “What does it profit if you love those who love you, love your enemies and do good and pray for those who use you?”  Corrie had to forgive the guard, who before receiving Christ as his own personal Savior, had abused her sister Betsey.  She could only do so with God’s love.

Can you pray blessing on one who has “done you wrong”?  Pride can’t, pride won’t.    Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and hoping that the one you hate, the one who offended you, the one who stole from you…dies.  Flesh wants a pound of flesh.

“Tit for tat, butter for fat, you steal my dog I’ll steal your cat.”

You are only a human being, you are not God.  Apart from His appropriated power you cannot forgive from your heart.  And only truly seeing your own “self” in the light of His love and then seeing your offender through the lens of God’s love, only then are you able to forgive.

“With God all things are possible.  Nothing is too hard for God.”  With you?  Not so much.

Most of your life is ahead of you.  The path in front of me is much shorter.  I am advising you to make the most of each day.  Choose to follow the path least travelled.  “Broad is the way that leads to destruction.”  Many people are walking there.  The surest way to reach your desired destination is to stay on the narrow path, keep focused on the goal.  God is calling you to walk with Jesus, led by His Holy Spirit.  If you do so, you will fulfill your destiny

Religion will keep you satisfied, just a normal, nominal Christian.  Keep drinking that Kool-aid and you will leave this world having made your mark on the world.  “He was a good person.”, they will say.  “Only God is good.”,  Jesus said.

A Christian is a Christ One.  Christ is not Jesus second name.  Christ means the sent one.  Jesus is the one sent.  His name in Hebrew, the language of the people when He was on the Earth, means Savior.  Jesus Christ…sent one to save, that was who He was.  It was love that sent Jesus.

Who He is now is King.  A king has a kingdom.  When you accepted Jesus as your Savior you were brought into the Kingdom of God.  You are now looked after, taken care of by King Jesus.  You have to learn the ways of The Kingdom.  The Word of God will teach you the way.

Someone once asked thus question.  “If you were put on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?”  This is something you should consider.

A true Christian will touch the world around him with the love of God, he will impact the life of every one whose life he touches. You have influence. How do you choose to use it?

Learn to love.   May what motivates you be the love of God.

My prayer is that when you stand before God, the Righteous Judge, there will be more than enough evidence written in the book of your life to hear these words… “Well done good and faithful servant, enter in to the joy of your master.”  Amen!

The Kidnapper

Under cover of darkness the evil one comes.  Doing the work of his evil father, he is:    The Kidnapper.

Manual and Rosita Rodriguez had saved enough money to come to the resort on a family vacation. They were so excited to be there at last.

Manny, that’s what Rosita called her husband, worked with the street department in Anaconda, California.  He had come with his family from Mexico when he was just five years old.  Manny’s father worked hard to provide for his family and when he became an American citizen he was committed to raise his children to be good citizens, and they were.

The Rodriguez family had been raised in the Catholic tradition but through the kindness, love and compassion of their neighbor, they came to know Jesus personally and began attending the local Pentecostal church she attended, though neither of them took religion or God too seriously.  They thought that going to church on Sunday was good enough, the rest of the week they pretty much did what they wanted to.

When Manny was twenty five years old he met Rosita. He went to a Fiesta with a friend and there she was.  She was small with a slight build, her hair fell in waves over her shoulders and her dark eyes were rimmed with long lashes.  She captured Manny’s heart.  It was love at first sight for Manny.  It took some doing to win Rosita’s heart, but eventually he did.  They had been married now for ten years and had three children.

The oldest child, a girl they named Manuela, after her father, was nine. Their second child was a boy named Jorge, he was seven.  The baby, Carmelita, was just three months old.

Life had its ups and downs for the Rodriguez family as it does for all of us.

Manny had worked as a grounds keeper for a wealthy family.  It was a good job and he was able to provide nicely for his family.  But the security that they had hoped for was not to be.

A property developer wanted the property to build a multi story apartment complex with shops on the lower level, as the area was expanding and he could see dollar signs in the future.  The family was more than ready to let go of it because they were past retirement age and ready to move into something smaller.

After a six month struggle without work, Manny got a job with the Anaconda street maintenance department. Life went well in the ensuing years.  They were able to save a little and had plans to buy a house the following year.

God had a plan for this family, it was a good plan, but the events that took place certainly didn’t make it look that way.  Sometimes the plans He has for us look like defeat, but from His view He sees great victory.  That is how He saw His son’s death and resurrection.

Arvad Cheminsky was a bell boy at the resort, though he was no longer a boy.  He was born and raised in Moldova to a poor family, but he had grand dreams, dreams of lots of money  He hated being poor and vowed the day would come when he would never be poor again.  When he was sixteen he left home and went to Russia.

Times were tough and he found whatever work he could, sweeping floors, loading trucks and loading cargo on the docks.  It was on the docks that he met Boraas Plenovich.  Like himself Boraas was young and ambitious. They became friends.  In time Boraas told Arvad that there was a lot of money to be made if he was interested. Boraas said he had connections.

Arvad was fond of a certain bar that was operated by a young couple.  The wife was a sturdy, well built girl and the husband was a nice-looking man with a big mustache and a deep voice.  They became friends.  Boraas came with Arvad a few times and saw a money making scheme that would pay big.  He suggested to Arvad that he ask the husband if his wife could accompany him to Thailand where they would meet up with a man who could provide an opening for a bar in the city of Pattaya, Thailand.  He assured him that it was quite lucrative and would be a great investment.  The husband gave his permission.

He never saw his wife again.  He searched for years trying to find her or Arvad to no avail.  After many years and lots of money and heartache, he learned that Arvad had sold her to human traffickers in Thailand.

Arvad and Boraas worked with the Russian mafia. Though they never met anyone higher than their local contact, they didn’t care, they didn’t want to know, as long as they got paid, and they got paid well for a good specimen.  They made a lot of money and all they had to do was deliver the goods to their contact.  It was a nice clean operation.  They had what they wanted.  There was no shortage of drink and women as long as the money flowed.

When the Rodriguez family checked in at the front desk, Arvad was there.  He took their bags up to their rooms paying special attention to their conversation and observing the children carefully.

The two older children were slight in build like their mother.  The contact wanted specimens that would last awhile, so Arvad always looked for ones that were more sturdy.  In this case the baby was promising, besides the contact said that her contact wanted something different and this baby might just be the thing that would bring a higher price.  He dallied, moving a chair here and some flowers over there, as the family excitedly examined their quarters.

The older children were excited to get into their swim suits and go to the pool. The woman wanted to get her baby to bed as she was fussy and tired.  Arvad watched where she took the child and after receiving his tip he left.  All he had to do now was watch for an opportunity.

His next assignment was the pool area. Fortunately for him, the Rodriguez family was at the pool.  Manuela and Jorge were playing and splashing in the pool while Rosita held Carmelita and Manny took pictures.

Bringing a pitcher of lemonade over to their table he heard Manny suggest to Rosita that they put the children to bed after supper and when they were asleep they could go for a stroll in the gardens.  It sounded so romantic and it had been a long time since they had time alone together, and in such a beautiful setting.  Though she had some hesitation about leaving the children alone, Rosita consented.

They walked in the flower lined garden, stopped to admire a beautiful orchid growing on a tree, and sat down on a bench.  The night air was beginning to cool off from the heat of the day. The sky turned a beautiful orange, then pink leading into shades of night gray.  They reluctantly returned to their rooms as the sun was beginning to set.

Rosita went into the room where Manuela and Jorge were sleeping.  She paused a moment to reflect on what a wonderful day it had been.  Going into their room to the crib where she had laid Carmelita, she was horrified to find that she was not there.  She screamed. Manny came running into the room to see what had happened.  Their baby was gone.

Arvad saw that the Rodriguez’s had gone out of the room.  What wonderful timing!  He alerted his contact to be ready as he would hand off the baby to her.  She posted a watch on the Rodriguez’s to make sure they were not surprised before they snatched the child.

Carefully letting himself into the room with the master key that he had stolen, he went to the room where the baby was. Picking her up he placed a rag soaked in a drug solution over her nose and mouth to keep her sedated so she wouldn’t cry.

Opening the door to the adjoining room where his contact waited, he gave her the baby, she would take it to the next contact.  Arvad would get paid handsomely for this one, he was sure of that.  She was plump with rosy cheeks, someone would pay big for her.

Every step along the way was carefully planned.  There were no clues left behind, no trace of anything for the police to go by.  The kidnapping made the papers and the news media was all over the resort. Arvad hung around long enough to not arouse suspicion when he left.  He went back to Russia with a lot of money in his pocket.

Devastation is the best word to describe the Rodriguez family. Manny blamed himself, Rosita blamed Manny and herself.  The children were inconsolable.  The request for prayer went throughout the world. The only hope was a miracle.  Manny and Rosita turned to God with all of their hearts, begging for the return of their daughter.

Pattaya, Thailand, a man walked into a cleaning establishment.  He asked about their laundry and cleaning facility and mentioned that he had some needs and wondered if they knew where these needs could be met.  Eyeing him carefully, the owner asked if he had any preference for his needs to be met and when he said that he didn’t the owner lead him into a back room.

“I have something very special for you.”  He said.  “I am sure your needs will be taken care of.”  They agreed on a price; it was paid and the shopkeeper opened the door to a dimly lit room.  Entering the room the man saw a baby.  His stomach turned.  He thanked the shopkeeper and closed the door.

When he was brought into the back room, he noticed a door with an exit sign. Scooping up the baby in his arms, he carefully opened the door a crack to make sure no one was outside.  The coast was clear, running as fast as he could out the door and down the street, he came to the place where his friend was waiting for him.

The newspapers and TV carried a picture of three month old Carmelita Rodriguez as she was returned to her family with the caption:  “God does a Miracle, baby returned to her parents!”

When I was in Chicago a few years ago, I was at the Union train station waiting for my train to come.  I was totally unaware that bus stations and train stations are used by pimps and prostitutes to get easy money.  They prey upon unsuspecting, gullible people.  No doubt they saw me as their “pigeon”.  I have learned since then that these places are favorites for pimps to pick up girls fresh from the country who appear lost or lonely.

I had purchased some lunch and was sitting in a designated eating area.  A girl, solidly built, loud and coarse, sat down at a table next to  me.  She began to speak into her phone to her father.  She was telling him that she wanted to come home but that a guy was watching her and she was scared.  She asked him to wire her some money she could catch a bus home.  I felt so sorry for her.  I walked past her and put $20.00 into her hand.  She immediately got up and took off, very quickly followed by a black man.

I had been had!

I wrote this story today to make people aware of what is going on in the seamy world of human trafficking.  I don’t know a lot about it, but I do know some.  The story about the baby and the bar owner are true stories that I embellished with my imagination.

Parents and caregivers to pray for protection for the children in your care.  Educate yourself in the ways of those who deal in human souls for profit.

My sister left her two little girls by a jewelry counter in Walmart several years ago.  She told them to stay there, that she would be right back.  A man approached them, getting close he punched the older one in the stomach so she couldn’t cry out.  He began to take them toward the door as my sister came around the corner and saw him.  She yelled so loudly he got scared, dropped the girls and ran from the building.  Many years earlier I had a vision in which I saw that attempt and prayed for them.  God was merciful.  We cannot be too careful.  There are predators who think nothing of taking your precious treasures.   Be alert and aware.

It is written:

“Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”  Matthew 18:6

“It is not the will of your Father which is in Heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Matthew 18:14
