Theory

There’ll be blue birds over the white cliffs of Dover

Tomorrow when the world is free.

There’ll be love and laughter

And joy ever after tomorrow,

Just you wait and see.”

Walter Kent music, lyrics by Nat Burton

The world longs for peace, will give up land for peace, will negotiate with tyrants for peace. Freedom, a word that speaks to the heart of every man. A line in the song above says, “Tomorrow when the world is free.” Volumes could be written about the longing in the heart of man to be free. Free to do what he wants to do, no one telling him what to do. This leads to the rebellion that brings forth dictators who want to be free to have their will imposed upon others. It is their freedom, not the freedom for every man, that they are after preserving. The following examples come to mind:

Napoleon Bonaparte, dictator, tyrant, “A megalomaniac who wrought greater misery than any man before the coming of Hitler.” * Exiled and dead of stomach cancer.

Adolf Hitler, dictator, aspiring world conqueror. Dead in a bunker.

Saddam Hussein, dictator. Dead by hanging.

A day is coming when a man the Bible calls Anti-Christ, will attempt take over the world and when it appears that he may succeed he will be killed. This will be the opportunity, the time that Ha-Satan has waited for, this will finally be the man that he personally can inhabit. At that point Ha Satan will take over his body and this man will appear to rise from the dead having had a mortal wound, the world will be in awe. This is my theory.

One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.” Revelation 13:3, 13:12 ESV

I called this piece “Theory” because the scripture above speaks of what most consider a system of governments united under a charismatic man, a man who will have the answer to world peace.

In my thinking this perfect man, the Bible calls him 666, will be the ultimate dictator; he will come to power and he will rule by peace. But, that is not the end. It is Ha-Satan who will ultimately rule and demand worship as he takes his seat on the temple mount in Jerusalem declaring that he is God.

Heaven, eons ago, Lucifer rebelled against God and thought to take over His throne. It got him kicked out, and he has been trying to find a human being he could use to take over ever since. Those I list above are only a sample of those who have yielded to him. There is a man in Venezuela at this time who is trying to take over that country, though the majority of the people don’t want it. As time goes on there will be others. Control by one human being over another or others is fostered in Hell.

Every man who has supposed that he could take over the world dies. They are mere human beings not God. Because it is written:

It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27

Every dictator, every man aspiring to conquer the world, has been initially ruled by a principality of Ha-Satan and should there arise another aspiring to rule the world, he too will die. There is a time line, God alone can make changes and adjustments, it shall be followed to the letter.

God has given evil a space of time to operate in the world against Him and His creation. He has given mankind a space of time to choose whom they will serve. Time is in the hand of God. It is God alone who “changes times and seasons.”

And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Daniel 2:21 NKJV

I Corinthians 10:11 “Now these things happened to them as an example: but they are written down for our instruction on whom the end of the ages has come.” ESV

Therefore, since it is true that God is in control of the time line and the final outcome, what kind of people should we be?

God is God. There is no one like Him. He rules from His throne in Heaven. His Son became the redeemer of mankind, He bought back from Ha-Satan “whosoever will” come to Him in faith; believing that He is the sent one, who paid the price with His own blood not the blood of an animal, mankind can be transferred from the kingdom of darkness, (Ha-Satan) to the Kingdom of Light.

This is Good News!

God bless you with Light. May we never yield to any control but the control of the Spirit of God, that is my prayer for you and me. Amen!

It’s In The Book

This morning I was thinking of the mindset of a child, specifically a teen-age child.  His mindset and worldview is so very limited and yet he arrogantly thinks he knows it all, he knows what is best for him, he doesn’t need an adult to tell him anything.

Just walk into any book store, Barnes and Noble for instance, and consider the plethora of books and magazines on their shelves. In addition they can tap into a catalog of millions,.  Can any one person know it all?

Nearly every city has its own newspaper.  Books, magazines and newspapers, the stuff of life for most people of my generation.  The local newspaper of the small town of 500 that I grew up near, wrote about who visited who over the week-end,  about the people who met at the cemetery to celebrate Memorial Day, and of upcoming events one must be sure to attend; such as the Democrats marching down main street in support of Harry Truman.  Now that last one makes me older than dirt, for sure, LOL!

If that doesn’t stretch your imagination… How about the Library of Congress? That vast collection boggles the imagination.

People have a need to know and others have a need to make known.  Oh, how a person’s worldview affects his life here on earth, but not only on earth but also for all eternity.  God hates pride, it is what started the archangel Lucifer on the path to destruction and those who belong to the Kingdom of darkness reflect his fallen nature.  On the other hand, God loves the humble.

Corrie ten Boom, the Dutch author of “The Hiding Place”, once said that God has a “microscope and a telescope interest in us”.  The creator God in His vastness, that goes beyond human thinking or understanding, has all knowledge.  He knows us and, wonder of it all, loves us still.  It is that love that caused Him to make a way for mankind to come to Him over the bridge of His Son’s sacrifice.  John 3:16

I was just thinking of the verse found in John 21:25…”And there are also many other things which Jesus did the which, if they should be written everyone, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”

Stretching the imagination helps to put things in perspective.  How big is God? How small are human beings?  Consider the vast array of books on any subject you can imagine and then consider the Apostle John’s statement above.

I have over 30 books on Heaven and Hell in my library.  Several authors have spoken of seeing books of many kinds in Heaven.  The most important book of all is the Book of Life.  God keeps that special book for the final judgment.  At that time it will be opened and if your name is not there your judgment is sealed, for all eternity you will have no part in God’s Heaven.  One author called that book, “The Family Album”.

One person who was permitted to see Heaven, was taken to a huge building that housed many books, all of them with a person’s name on them.  He was allowed to look at the patriarch Abraham’s book.  He paged through it looking for the incident where Abraham told Sarah to say she was his sister to save his own neck from the people of the land he had run to.  He was told by Jesus that He didn’t know what he was talking about.  It was not in the book.

Under the Abrahamic covenant sin was removed by animal sacrifice, under the covenant in Jesus blood sin is removed by confession and receiving Jesus sacrifice as the substitute our sin.  I become the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ.

A righteous man’s sin is atoned for by Jesus blood and righteousness, not his own, even the old testament saints had the opportunity to hear the gospel when Jesus went to the place called Sheol and preached to them before taking them to Heaven with Him.  Psalm 68:18  Matthew 27:52-53  Luke 24:50-51  John 1:12-13  Acts 1:3; 11

Doesn’t it say in I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”?  Would it not be unjust to remember our sins, write them down in a book, only to judge something that we already repented of?  Why then do we allow guilt, shame and condemnation to come upon us and torment us when sin has already been confessed and forgiven?  It ought not to be.  Acts 3:19  Consider the source of such torment and resist it in Jesus name.  James 4:7

Before we came to this Earth, God wrote down in a book all of our days “when as yet there was none of them”.  Psalm 139:16

Several people who have been to Heaven have seen “recording angels”. Everything is written down in books…according to their witness.  What is written in your book?  We will be judged by what is in the book.  This is the works judgment for rewards not for salvation.  Salvation is in the “Book of Life” and it is only through Jesus, there is no other way.  Acts 4:12  Daniel 7:10

God loves us.  He is for us and not against us.  He truly knows what is best for us and yet has given us a free will.  We can choose our path through life. Hopefully, as a child grows into a mature adult, he will also grow in humility. After all Jesus said to enter the Kingdom of Heaven you have to be like a little child.  I think He means you have to be humble and trusting like a little child. There is no place for the arrogance or rebellion of the teen years there. Matthew 5:20; 7:21; 18:3

Revelation 20:12  “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.  and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

Since these things be true, what manner of men must we be, living in holiness, righteousness, freedom, love, peace and joy.  Amen!

Bible time for Justin and Jacob

“I know the plans I have for you.”  GOD

There is no one His equal.  He is love.  His compassion knows no boundary.  He has no boundaries known to man.  Except one…your will.

He will not allow anyone to put Him in a box of any kind.  He will break out of it every time.

He was, He is and He will be involved in the lives of all mankind because He is the creator of all mankind.

All that He is, His power, His love, His majesty, causes anyone who is in His presence to come away filled with awe and wonder.  In His presence all fall on their face.  Pride crumbles.

He loves mankind so much that in His plan, knowing the past, present and future, He sent His Son, His own unique Son, into the world of men as a man.  He came as a man among men.  He displayed God to man.  He came to redeem, to buy back what had been given away by Adam, the initial created by God man, who made the decision not to trust God’s word.

God is love.  Love gives.

Jesus taught His disciples that God is a father, “Our Father who is in Heaven”.  In this dispensation we are the beneficiaries of the last will and testament of God’s son.  He is the mediator of this New Testament.  He came to Earth to showcase who God is.

God is a Savior.  God is a healer.  God is a deliverer.  God is a provider.  God is a protector.

God is a God of order.  He is not causal or careless.  He is purposeful and intentional.  He is not haphazard.

Corrie ten Boom, author of the book, “The Hiding Place”, tells the story of God’s love for those who abused and murdered her family and the Jewish people.  The Word of God says, “What does it profit if you love those who love you, love your enemies and do good and pray for those who use you?”  Corrie had to forgive the guard, who before receiving Christ as his own personal Savior, had abused her sister Betsey.  She could only do so with God’s love.

Can you pray blessing on one who has “done you wrong”?  Pride can’t, pride won’t.    Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and hoping that the one you hate, the one who offended you, the one who stole from you…dies.  Flesh wants a pound of flesh.

“Tit for tat, butter for fat, you steal my dog I’ll steal your cat.”

You are only a human being, you are not God.  Apart from His appropriated power you cannot forgive from your heart.  And only truly seeing your own “self” in the light of His love and then seeing your offender through the lens of God’s love, only then are you able to forgive.

“With God all things are possible.  Nothing is too hard for God.”  With you?  Not so much.

Most of your life is ahead of you.  The path in front of me is much shorter.  I am advising you to make the most of each day.  Choose to follow the path least travelled.  “Broad is the way that leads to destruction.”  Many people are walking there.  The surest way to reach your desired destination is to stay on the narrow path, keep focused on the goal.  God is calling you to walk with Jesus, led by His Holy Spirit.  If you do so, you will fulfill your destiny

Religion will keep you satisfied, just a normal, nominal Christian.  Keep drinking that Kool-aid and you will leave this world having made your mark on the world.  “He was a good person.”, they will say.  “Only God is good.”,  Jesus said.

A Christian is a Christ One.  Christ is not Jesus second name.  Christ means the sent one.  Jesus is the one sent.  His name in Hebrew, the language of the people when He was on the Earth, means Savior.  Jesus Christ…sent one to save, that was who He was.  It was love that sent Jesus.

Who He is now is King.  A king has a kingdom.  When you accepted Jesus as your Savior you were brought into the Kingdom of God.  You are now looked after, taken care of by King Jesus.  You have to learn the ways of The Kingdom.  The Word of God will teach you the way.

Someone once asked thus question.  “If you were put on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?”  This is something you should consider.

A true Christian will touch the world around him with the love of God, he will impact the life of every one whose life he touches. You have influence. How do you choose to use it?

Learn to love.   May what motivates you be the love of God.

My prayer is that when you stand before God, the Righteous Judge, there will be more than enough evidence written in the book of your life to hear these words… “Well done good and faithful servant, enter in to the joy of your master.”  Amen!

An Open Letter to Michelle

Can we establish up front that every human being was created by God for God?  Every human being will seek to fill the void in their soul with something or someone.

We were created by God to have relationship with Him, to worship Him and receive our life needs from Him.

When we come to faith in God, through Jesus the sent one, the greatest challenge we face is discerning who is speaking to us.

We desire to relate to God, to know that we are loved and accepted by Him. We want to know what life is all about and why we are here.

Rules versus relationship is key to understanding how to walk through this mine infested world. Identifying the source of what is coming at you will help you. The sources are these:  God, the world, your flesh and the devil, which means accuser.

It is fairly easy to keep the rules when you make up your mind to do so. People can be religious rule keepers and be quite satisfied that they are fine and in tune with God expects of them.

Organized church rules that you should only go to that church and no other.  If you are a rule follower, you will feel guilty if you set foot in the door of another church, even if it were only for the funeral of a relative.

You are also taught to avoid getting too close to anyone of another religion; you certainly shall not marry anyone who is not of your religion.

Some religions go so far as to say that if you are not of their religion you will, by force, be made to follow their religion, or you must pay them to follow your religion or you will be murdered if you don’t follow their religion.

Religion controls your life while Relationship with God sets you free to be the best person you can possibly be, and not on your own, but with the help of His Holy Spirit.

So, let’s look at John 10:10 KJV…Jesus said:  “The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy..”

Who is the thief?  He is the one called the devil and satan; translated these words mean “accuser” and  “adversary.

But, he was not always this. There was a time when he was called “Lucifer”, meaning light bearer. He was basically the worship leader of Heaven.  He was one of the most beautiful of all of God’s creations.

The Word teaches us that He began to look at himself and he became deceived by his own beauty.  Pride entered his heart and he began to covet the worship that was God’s.

He began to say to other created beings that he would exalt his throne above the stars, that he would ascend above the heights of the clouds, that he would be like the Most High.

One third of the angels listened to him, agreed with him and became his followers.  God gave him enough rope and he hung himself.  When his iniquity was full, God kicked him out of Heaven.

There is more to his story, how he became the god of this world system, but I want to focus upon his method of operation in the earth now.

Here are some words that describe his M.O.: deceiver, thief, liar, murderer, destroyer, accuser, adversary, enemy…there is more, but you get the idea.  He is the source of all that is evil in this world.

It is he who deceives the masses of people in the world to follow and worship anything but God.

He hates God, but he cannot touch him.  He has legal authority to do as he pleases with anyone who does not belong to God’s family.

He lies to them that God does not want them because of what they have done.  He tells them that they are different than anyone else and they were meant to be something other than what they are.

He steals their good name, he steals their health, he steals their children, he steals their marriage, he steals their quality of life, all the while telling them that it is God who is doing it.

In the relationship of man and woman he leads them to to exercise their feelings and emotions as needs that must be filled by another person and when that person does not meet the need it is time to move on to someone else. This he calls freedom and all the while it is bondage to the flesh.

Children are especially targeted when they enter their teen-age years.  He accuses the ignorant, innocent teen of their faults and their flaws; no one and nothing about them is right or good enough

Some teens are pressured to blame their parents, the authorities, or anyone for all that is wrong in the world, In their 20’s they become cause oriented protesters against society.

Rebelliousness and hopelessness causes some children to shut down, cutting off relationship with their parents, or anyone that could help. Then the enemy moves in for the kill.  Teen suicide is the result.

Every evil, diabolical work in the world bears his footprint.  He is not redeemable.  His fate is sealed.  Hell was created for him and his followers.

There is a high road to Hell and there is a low road to Hell.  It is paved with good intentions. Those traveling these roads intend to do what is good and right, but without God they are not able.  You cannot “see straight” without God.

The adversary is a counterfeiter.  Government programs that are put in place to “help” people enslave them to the system, become entitlements, moving them from working to provide for themselves and their family as God intended, thus making them dependent upon government not God.

Please understand I am not against helping those in need, we should, it is the responsibility of God’s people to do so.

People walking the high road to Hell have what the world and satan can offer; money, position, possessions, power, fame, authority to name a few. Those who walk the low road to Hell are strung out on drugs, alcoholics, users and abusers of themselves and others.  These two camps scorn each other as the demon spirits who empower them fight among themselves.  The people are pawns in this chess game of the enemy.

Let me give you some examples of the adversaries operation against people

A husband is cheating on his wife with a neighbor.  He comes home and accusers her of having a man in the house while he was gone.  The very thing he is doing, he accuses her of doing.

You and your spouse are having a conversation.  You hear him say something and you get angry that he would say that to you.  You accuse him and he says,  “I didn’t say that.” You say, “I know what I heard.”

You have just been the victims of the prince of the power of the air.  This spirit takes the words from one person’s mouth twists them and when another person hears it, it is not what was said but what that spirit knows will cause strife and division in the relationship.

Anger is a favorite spirit of the enemy.  It will cause the one who is the victim untold heartache as it hurts and wounds the people in his life and drives them from him, but it will torment the one who is influenced by this spirit and would him even greater.

Pornography is a tool that the enemy employs successfully.  Many men, even devout religious men, are caught in the snare of pornography.  It destroys the person sexually as it increases its hold upon them.  Thus a man who is married cannot relate to his wife as he should and a single man will not find a woman who will accept the perversity he wants.

One of the favorite tools that the enemy uses to enslave people is fear.  The scope of this is broad.  Fear raises its head in many areas of our lives, perhaps all areas of our lives.  I dare say that there is not one person alive that has never been afflicted by a spirit of fear.

Fear is a spirit that uses other spirits to blind and bind people so they will not fulfill their God-given destiny.  A few examples are:

Fear of failure…you will not attempt anything because you are afraid you will fail.

Fear of water…you won’t get into a boat or go swimming because you are afraid you will drown.

Fear that no one can love you because you don’t look the way you think you should.

Perhaps the biggest fear of all is being alone.  We fill our hours and days with T.V., pets, people and activities so we won’t be alone.  I am not saying these things are wrong in and of themselves, but if you have the Lord you will never truly be alone.  There is a place of rest and peace in Him.  We need to have our priorities in place.

More and more lies of the enemy, piled high and deep, keep us bound up, all the while Jesus came that we might be free.  It is our choice.  We must make a decision and then receive the freedom.

“I am come that they may have life and have it abundantly.”  John 10:10 KJV

When you receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord, your spirit man becomes new, the old you is gone, washed away in Jesus blood, you were born of water in natural birth and now you are born of the Spirit.  Your sins are forgiven, blotted out, and now you will live forever with God your father.

You have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into God’s kingdom which is light.  You have a new father, a father who loves you, who will take care of you, who will always be with you, who will never leave you.

You have a soul as well as a spirit, your soul is the heart of you, the center of who you are.  Your will, your emotions, you affections, your mind [intellect] are part of your soul.

Your soul and spirit are entwined and since you have received Jesus, the Holy Spirit has been given to you to help you, to teach you, to comfort you and to counsel you.

You live in a human body on this earth.  This is temporary.  Your body will die, it is made of dirt.  This body is afflicted by earthly things. It is subject to the things of the world and the accuser, and beside that your own flesh will give you trouble.

One last thought:  When you are born of the Spirit of God your spirit is instantly transformed, but the Word teaches us that the soul begins a process, religion calls it sanctification, it simply means that you are set apart and now you will be taught and trained by the Holy Spirit.  He begins to work into you what is pleasing to your Father in Heaven.  He is making you ready for Heaven, for the day when you will see your Father face to face.

If a thing is of God it will bring peace, rest and joy; it will “feel” right in your spirit.  If it is accusing, condemning or hurtful it is of the enemy of God and you do not have to accept it.

Michelle…My thoughts and prayers are with you this morning.  Our conversation yesterday brought great joy to my heart as I heard you say that you are born-again, that you found Jesus.  I thought of these word of Jesus:  “He who is forgiven much loves much.”

May the path that you have begun to walk with the Lord be filled with moments of joy and wonder as you learn who your are, how valuable you are to your Father and how worthy He is to receive your worship.

I Love you,

Joy

Where Fear Walks

Mary was a tall slim woman of thirty five years.  She had never married, much to the chagrin of her family.  People had described her as plain, but when they got to know her they found that she had a delightful personality, everyone was better for knowing her.

Dan Archer was new in town, he had moved to Washington from the Midwest.  Jobs were hard to find as the economy was in a downturn, so he took the only job available, The Moton Pet Store.

Harry and Alice Moton owned a pet store in the town of Jethro, Washington.  They were animal lovers so when Harry retired from the business world they decided to open a pet store to do what they loved.  It was going well, so much so in fact that they needed to hire an employee.  Harry worked long hours and this would free up some of his time, so he could relax.

Mary Pierce worked for a local insurance agency as receptionist and secretary.  She loved her job.  Working with people was what she loved to do best.  She had been trained to be a helper since she was a child.  Her mother had been active in church and taught Mary to reach out to others, especially those less fortunate than herself.

There was a new pastor at the 1st Baptist church in Moton.  He came from California where he had pastored a church of fifteen hundred people.  Pastor David Melvin was well known in the evangelical stream of Christianity for his sermons on revival.  He had a large following on Facebook; mostly it was people who knew him or those who found him there and liked what he had to say.

Mary was a loyal member of the congregation since her youth.  Her mother Agnes was a founding member.  Agnes had raised Mary alone as Mary’s father had left her when she found she was pregnant.  He told her, “I didn’t sign on for this.”  Not to be daunted, Agnes turned to Jesus for help and He was her faithful partner.  Mary turned out good!

The Saturday before the fourth of July, Mary decided that she wanted to have a pet.  Agnes had died the year before and though Mary had an active busy life, she wanted a companion at home.

As it happened, Dan was working at the pet store when Mary walked in.  Dan had not married after he got out of college because every girl he met was shallow and vain.  Not one to dwell on the negative he took it in stride and moved on filling his life with friends and fun.

Mary asked to see the dogs, she was particularly fond of the Black Labrador breed.  Harry got pets for the store from several sources.  He had only recently acquired the Lab puppies from a source in a small town near them.  They were so cute and lively.  She fell in love with a male who seemed to be the most gregarious of the litter.

As she was paying for her dog, Dan asked if she knew what she was going to name him.  She replied, “Alphonso The Great”.  “Interesting name for a dog.”, Dan replied.  “Yes, I think so too.”  Mary responded.  “I will call him “Fonzie” for short.” Mary said.  “Oh, like on the old TV program, “Happy Days”? Dan asked.  “Yes, because “Fonzie” always wore a black leather jacket and my new dog is black, I think it is appropriate, don’t you?”  Mary said.  Dan agreed.

Dan thought, “Interesting girl.  Not much to look at, but she seemed to have a great personality and a sense of humor.”

Mary and Fonzie settled into what would become a routine over the next year.  He grew to be a full sized Lab and could take Mary for a walk instead of the other way around.  He was headstrong and wilful.  She decided he needed some training, so once again she went to the Moton Pet Store to get a lead.

Walking in, she noticed the man behind the counter was the one who had sold her the dog a year ago.  He remembered her and asked how “Fonzie” was doing.  Explaining her problem Dan told her about a man in town that had trained dogs for the United States Army.  He was highly recommended.  Mary contacted him and he worked with Fonzie and her to teach them how to work together.  Teaching Fonzie that she was the top dog was no easy task.

When Dan smiled, Mary noticed that he had a dimple in his right cheek.  “Mmmm nice, she thought to herself.”  Dan could not help but notice that Mary, who was wearing shorts that day, had beautiful legs. “The old-time movie star, Lana Turner, whose legs were insured for a million dollars, had nothing on Mary Pierce.” He mused.

As it happened, the Baptist church was having a revival the coming week-end; there were signs all around town announcing it.  A tent was to be set up on the vacant lot at the back of the church.  A famous evangelist was to hold the revival along with Pastor Melton.

Mary was looking forward to the meetings.  She asked Dan if he would be interested in coming to the meetings.  He wanted to get to know Mary, so he said he would be delighted to come.

Rain was threatening for the Revival week-end, but it was no match for the praying women.  The storm parted and went right around town.

Dan had never been to a revival.  He was not a believer, in fact, in his youth he had told his parents that he did not believe in a god he could not see or prove existed.  Naturally, his parents, who were believers, were devastated.  He had gone to church at their insistence,  but, since high school days Dan had not gone to church.  He had mellowed a bit and was not as dogmatic and argumentative as he had been then, but he still did not believe in God.  He believed in being rational and reasonable.  If it could be seen and explained, he was all over it.

Pastor David Melvin had brought his young daughter into the store to purchase a parakeet.  She was a sweet little girl with red hair that her mother had put into pigtails.  So adorable.  Dan loved little kids and hoped that someday he would have his own, though at age thirty, time was flying.

Dan saw Mary sitting up front; noticing a chair next to her he ventured forward.  “Hi, may I sit here?”  he asked.  “Yes, of course you may.  Good to see you again, I am so glad that you came.”  “I am glad to see you again, Mary.  I don’t know anything about this sort of thing.  What is the format?”  Dan asked.  Mary explained the general pattern of service, but offered that they just needed to be open to what God wanted to do.  Dan wasn’t thrilled with that remark, but chose to let it go.  He just wanted to get to know Mary better.

What followed for Dan Archer was nothing short of life changing.  In one night he experienced God’s power, a power that he had denied existed.

The visiting evangelist told the congregation about the love of God for them.  He explained that God was not mad at them.  “He loves you and wants you, just the way your are.  He wants you to come to Him, to know him.”  He told them that through the sacrifice of the Son of God for them, as if they were the only one who needed to be rescued from their miserable life, they could come to know this loving God, this Father.

Something was stirring in Dan, he felt very uncomfortable.  He wanted to leave, but he was sitting up front and would not make a scene.  He had heard this message before, but it had never touched him. “What is going?” He thought.  “I am a reasonable person, I don’t do emotional.”

Thankfully, it was over and Dan asked Mary if they could spend a little time together.  Mary suggested that they stop by her house and pick up Fonzie for a walk in the park.  He liked that idea and agreed.  He felt so comfortable with Mary, she was intelligent and could carry on a stimulating conversation.  He liked that.  A woman with a good mind was hard to find.

The next day was Sunday and the revival services continued at the tent on the grounds of First Baptist.  Monday morning Dan heard that a woman who had been hard of hearing was healed at the Sunday night meeting, so Pastor Melton decided to continue the meetings to see what God would do.

The praying woman in the community had been meeting together for over a year, asking God to move upon their town and revive it.  Now, it appeared that He was doing just that.

Dan called Mary to ask if she would like to have supper with him, this was Monday night.  Mary said she was going to the tent meeting, but Harry and Alice were having a get together at their house at noon, which he also had been invited to, and could they meet there?  The answer, of course, was, ” Yes!”

Dan loved picnics and Bar B Q’s, he loved the outdoors, so this was right up his alley, as they say.  He was delighted.  Mary arrived shortly after Dan did, she was wearing his favorite color: blue, and had on shorts again, showing her best asset, in his opinion.  He was finding himself increasingly attracted to Mary Pierce.  And, he liked it.

He watched Mary as she interacted with people.  He thought to himself, “How could I have ever thought she was plain, she is beautiful.”

Mary stood at the sink washing dishes and chatting with some ladies.  Dan watched her from the couch.  She seemed to be in her element when she was helping others.  What a great quality in a woman.

Mary noticed that Dan was watching her, she wondered what he was thinking.  He was so handsome and she wondered why no woman had snatched him up.  Feelings began to rise in her that she had not experienced before with any man.  She liked to be with Dan.  He was so interesting, but he was not a believer and she knew that she could not be joined to a man who was not of like mind and faith.

The food was eaten, the dishes were done and it was starting to get on toward late afternoon.  She had to get home, take Fonzie for a short walk and get ready for the meeting.  She hoped Dan would want to come, but he didn’t seem interested.

That night there were several people that were healed of long standing illnesses and diseases, as well as old Silas Crup who had been in a wheel chair for twenty years of his seventy years.  When all paralysis left his body, he got up and began to jump up and down like he was twenty.  The people were stunned to say the least.  No one had seen anything like it before.

Tuesday morning the town was a buzz about the healings that had taken place.  People called their relatives and they told others and suddenly the town was full of people coming from the surrounding communities to attend the revival meetings.

Several people came into the pet store to talk with Harry and Alice about the revival.  “Were you there when my cousin Sadie was healed of cancer?” Leta Carpenter asked Alice.  “Yes.” she replied, “We could hardly believe it; if we had not seen that deep hole in her cheek fill in right before our very eyes, we would not have believed it could happen.”  “But with God, of course.” she added.

Dan heard all of this and wondered what was happening.  “Could it be true?  Does God really exist?  Could I have been wrong all these years?  No, I have studied this thing out, there is no such thing as God.  I know I am right.  This is just hocus-pocus.” He thought.  But the crack in his armor had taken place and Spirit of God was drawing him.

When the revival was over that evening Dan was waiting for Mary.  She came to get in her car and he asked if they could talk.  Reluctantly, she agreed, but said she had to go get Fonzie and take him for a walk.

Arriving at Mary’s house, he put Fonzie in the back seat of his car. Dan wanted to talk.  She didn’t know what was on his mind, but she agreed.  He headed downtown toward the pet store.  Dan turned into the lot behind the store, Mary saw the community service officer’s car hesitate as she saw them, but then recognized Dan’s car and kept going.

He stopped the car and they got out with Fonzie.  Dan had the leash in his hand, intending to walk him along the grassy area behind the store.  Fonzie suddenly reared up, showing his teeth and began to attack Dan.  Mary stood dumbfounded at what she saw happening, she was paralyzed with fear.  Dan yelled at her to get back and call for help.

Incredibly, when the story was told later, they realized an angel, sent from God, came and seemed to get in front of or into Dan as he wrestled with the dog.  Fonzie fell to the ground, apparently dead, and what stood before them could only be described as a satanic presence.  It was the ugliest evil thing either of them had ever seen.  It bared its teeth and growled that it was going to kill them.

That’s when I woke up and realized I had a dream.

Days are coming when God is going to show up and so is satan.  Maybe you don’t know it, but there is a war going on and to the victor belongs the spoils.  The spoils these warring kingdoms are after is the souls of mankind.  I have read the back of the book and I can tell you, God wins, satan is defeated and sent to Hell.  End of story!

Which side are you on?  Think!

Unity and Judgment

“The sword without and terror within.”  Attacks upon America and Israel from outside, from other nations;  Terror attacks within America by foreign nationals and Americans who have been radicalized by the forces that want a one world government.

George Washington had a vision of three wars on American soil.  The final war came from Europe, Asia and Africa and it appeared that all was lost.  BUT…Americans rose up and began to repel the attackers; afterwards she began to rebuild.  However, she was not the same.

Is that time now?  There is a time clock; it dwells in the mind of God.

A time is coming upon the world when the judgment of God will be fully unleashed against all who hate Him and His ways.  No one person or nation will be responsible for the carnage that results at that time.  God will lift His hand of protection over creation and the world of men, this will cause all manner of destruction to come; there will be no place to hide from the wrath of God.

Eventually, the God-haters will have their opportunity to “have it their way”.  The result of rebellion against God and His way will be judgment.  Not one person who is in alignment with God through the person of His Son Yeshua, the man Gentiles call Jesus, will be lost for eternity.  However, throughout time there will continue to be those who will be martyred for Him.

God promises no wrath for those who are truly His children; these have been grafted in to the vine, Israel, and are part of the One New Man.  The time of the One New Man is approaching.  God will do the combining of the stick of Judah and the stick of Ephraim.  Man will try to bring about unity between believing Gentiles and believing Jews; there will be a false unity just as surely as there is true unity.  Jesus prayed for unity and true unity will come, but only by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah and for the children of Israel his companions; then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:  Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.”    Ezekiel 37:16, 19

Many years ago I heard the Lord my God say, “You are of the tribe of Joseph.”  I did not understand at that time what He meant.  I wondered if I was of Jewish heritage.  When I understood the Ezekiel passage above, I understood that he was saying that as a Gentile believer in the Jewish messiah, I was in Joseph.

Ephraim is the son of Joseph, the patriarch, his name means “fruitful”.  The history of Ephraim is not so good, in the same way church history reveals a lot of shameful things, but the church has been fruitful in bringing the Good News of the redeemer to the world and before history is finished she will fulfill her role in the plan of God.

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”                      I Thessalonians 5:9

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, are in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”   John 17: 21

The Adversary will continue to pursue his ambition to take the place of Yahweh, God.  And, he will be allowed to take control of world government for a time, but only for a time.  God is now, has been and will always be on the throne and He will never be deposed.

“Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!”  Deuteronomy 32:25-33

“Void of counsel”, God says of a nation that has turned its back on God.  “How should one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them and the Lord had shut them up?”    Deuteronomy 32:30

There is but one God, no matter how many claim to be God, He is LORD and there is no other, Isaiah the prophet declared it and it is so!

“Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it?  ye are even My witnesses.  Is there a God beside me?  yea, there is no God; I know not any.” Isaiah 44:8

Since all these things be true as recorded in the scripture, “what manner of men ought we to be living holy and godly lives?”    II Peter 3:11

“So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”                                  I Corinthians 1:7

Let no one who reads these words be found wanting, having been weighed by God in the balances.  There is only one true measure that can balance sin and it is the sacrificial death and resurrection of the God Man, Jesus the Messiah of Israel.

Do you know Him?  If not, repent of your sin of rebellion and turn to God with all your heart and soul, He will redeem you through Jesus blood, the only sacrifice acceptable to God.  There is a mercy-seat, a place where you can come, a place where God will hear your penitent cry, forgive your sin and heal you. Don’t delay!

Praying that you will hear with the ears of your heart what Holy Spirit is saying today.

COME!

Walls

“The troubles of my heart are enlarged.”  Do you feel like that today?  Apparently many people do if the things that I have heard recently are any indication.

Today when I talked with a dear friend of mine we got on the subject of walls that people build or allow to be built, for whatever reason, and there are many…both reasons and walls.

Somehow when we are going through hard times we seem to feel that no one has ever experienced what we are experiencing, no one has ever gone through what we are going through.  There is no light at the end of the tunnel, in fact, the tunnel seems to be collapsing on us.  No one understands, or cares, I am all alone!

Depending on our temperament we may put on a happy face, pretending that all is well when we are dying inside, or we may become angry at the world and everyone in it, or we may cry and wail and moan about the awful place we find ourselves in, or we may blame someone, or everyone, for this awful situation we are in.  We may do everything but the one thing that we need to do.  “Submit yourself to God, Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Stop!  Stop whatever you are doing.  Stop praying worry prayers.  Stop praying self-pity prayers.  Look to God and Listen for His voice.

If you can’t hear because of all of the static going on around you, ask someone for help.  We all know someone with a listening ear.  All of this precludes that you really want to get out of the pit you are in, of course.  Pride, self-centeredness and walls you built will keep you from seeking help.

So, let’s say that you have decided that you can’t do this on your own and you are willing to get some help.  God knows you.  It is written that He knows our thoughts before we think them.  The thing is, it takes very little seeking or openness to trigger His compassion.  He loves you and wants you to walk free of all bondage.  The next step is to actively seek counsel.

It is written that Jesus is our “Wonderful Counselor”, and He is, but I see Him more like a lawyer who represents us before God the righteous judge, pleading the case for us and presenting His blood as evidence that the price has been paid for our liberty from the accuser.

The Blessed Holy Spirit is within each believer and He truly is the one who can give us counsel.  Being the gentleman that He is, He will not force anything on us, we must seek His help, want it with all of our heart and want God’s will more than we want to breathe.  Then we will hear Him and He will lead us in the way we should go.

Jesus will come into every situation; He is our healer, He is our deliverer, the one who paid the price we deserved so that we can be set free to follow on to know the Lord.  His coming is like the dawn, He is the Daystar from on high.  He is the light of the world that shines in the darkness and light always overcomes darkness, always.

When you are walking in darkness, and you are tired of crying, tired of trying, and you have or are ready to give up, what then?  Maybe now you are finally ready to let go and let God.  Or, maybe not, which brings me to walls.

There have been times in my life when I have come nose to the wall and saw no way around it, over it, under it or through it.  It was God’s wall to make me stop, look and listen to Him.  I had to learn to submit, surrender, yield to Him.  When I did, He always took me where He wanted me to be.

Why would we build a wall?  To keep something or someone in or keep them out.  There are good walls.  A city of yesteryear would build a wall around it to keep the enemy out.  Watchman would be assigned to spots on the wall to be able to alert the inhabitants if an enemy was approaching.  It was a very serious assignment, punishable by death if they were found sleeping.

There are walls of restraint that we build to protect ourselves from users, abusers and attackers.  These walls are wisely built.

There are walls of restraint when we see things and our flesh would rise up to criticize or condemn and we must be reminded that our God is not the accuser;  He is full of compassion and love for those who are hurt or wounded.

Wounded people build walls. Many times in my past I built walls to protect myself from being hurt…again.  I made inner vows that I would never allow that to happen, that no one would ever be allowed to come so close to me that they could hurt me.

Sometimes celebrities build houses surrounded with a high fence and a gate to keep the public out.  There is something about celebrity that makes the person on the street curious to know about them, to know how they live, what they do when they are not on the big screen or on TV etc.  Many celebrities are very private people and they don’t want their lives spread all over the media, and they certainly don’t want the public to come onto their property.

Definitely more dangerous are the walls we build in our soul, walls that keep people out also can keep God out.  We may say we want to be free, and we may even have a soulish desire to be free, but our situation is so familiar that when the time comes to be set free, the wall we built will keep Him out and we will continue on in bondage.

Another example of a bad wall is that of a person who enjoys the attention that a soulish outburst brings.  It feels good to have people caring for us, hugging us and telling us how they understand what we are going through, how they love us and will pray for us.  It brings a momentary fix. However, it isn’t long before the reality of life sets in and we are back where we started.  Some people go from one fix to another, one counselor to another, one group to another, one church to another, always looking and never able to find deliverance or peace.

Do you have walls?

There is an organization calling itself “Wallbuilders”.  I am not sure what they do, but I think it is probably a good thing.  As I said there are some walls that are good.  When ancient Israel was brought back from captivity, the first thing they did was to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem.

Have you noticed how many words begin with re?  God rebuilds, God restores, God asks us to remember certain things.  I think the prefix re means to do again what you did before.

Something that has fallen must be rebuilt.  So let us tear down walls of offense, walls that we put up to protect our wounded souls, walls that we built out of fear and worry, and let us open up our hearts to the Lord and allow His Spirit to come in and bring deliverance and healing; and let us build again the walls that have fallen, those fallen walls that allowed the enemy of our soul to come in and steal, kill and destroy.

God wants a people who are whole.  A people who have taken down walls that keep Him out and a rebuilding of the walls of truth and righteousness that have fallen in the street.  It must begin with the household of God.  It is your choice whether you want to be a part of this process.

I am praying that whoever considers what I have written will allow Holy Spirit access to his or her heart and soul.  Believer, believe what you believe.  Unbeliever, consider truth and turn from lies, do not be deceived, what you sow you will reap.

The wages that sin pays is death.  There is pleasure in sin for a season, but payday always comes, either here or hereafter.  Heaven or Hell, it is your decision which it will be, but it will be one or the other.

Much is happening in our world; it has gone on as it always has, but soon it will come to a screeching halt…there will be no more “same old, same old” thing happening.  The New World Order is coming on stage and its protege’s are in a hurry to get on.  One last time God will reach out to mankind drawing them into His Kingdom…and then the scene will change.  You don’t want to be here for the final act.

God is God and there is no other!  Choose this day whom you will serve, if the Lord He is God then serve Him; as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
